I remember you. Mainly because every time I saw your username I had to say it out loud in that droid's voice. :p

I agree. Actually I'm pretty sure I was a member before 99. Didn't the board shut down at one point and start over fresh on a new site, where all members had to start their post count over from scratch? I was a member of the original boards.

Yeah, the announcement brought me back to the forums. I haven't posted on here in probably over 10 years now, but with news as exciting, and a little scary to my loved SW books I figured I might as well make a return.

I actually have seen a few '98 registry dates over in the 7SA forums. I kinda wish I had joined up back when the prequels were being made.

I thought I had been a member before 2000, but maybe I was just a lurker then. I remember before Celebration 1, the powers that be posting their hotel and room number and inviting people to stop in!

I blame the current shoddy condition of the Ep7 forum on you new old people.

Its so sad, most people there act like the EU is too much of a burden to not be trampled.

Replace "childhood" with "ability to interact with humans" and that's not far off.

Whenever I see someone call it "extended" instead of "expanded," I want to hit something.

    Cooper, you're closest! [face_beatup]

Eh, that's never really hit my pedantry button for some reason.

It's not just that. Extended is inherently pejorative.

Kyle Katarn disapproves of this image (bottom right).

    Image argument fails.

I may not be an old timer, but I do sure miss this forum when I haven't logged on for long intervals.

I have to admit that I have soured on the EU throughout the latest 9 book series. But the announcement of new films has sparked my interest again.

I have been around along time here, but mostly lurking.

Huh. I guess I'm a late old-timer? An early mid-timer? I've been around here for a while (finally joined when History of the Mandalorians was exciting, new, and Abel was eagerly discussing his labor of love with all comers), but not nearly as long as folks like Coop, Karrde, or the Jellonator.

I remember lurking around here back when Episode II was still being made, but didn't start posting till Episode III was being made. But I've been reading the EU since Shadows of the Empire came out. Put it this way, I was active the most during a time when it was comical for me to have the alt "K'Kruhks_Hat". I've kinda moved back to lurking now, popping back in whenever anything "EU threatening" appears.
