We often talk about look-alikes, but what about sound-alikes? Some people genuinely read differently than others, so not everyone does this, but I'm of the camp that tries to picture and hear everything they read. It's obviously easiest for movie characters, but EU characters are harder. One voice I use a lot is Malcom McDowell. He is simultaneously Master Tholme in the Republic comics and Kenth Hamner in Fate of the Jedi. Another is Jason Momoa (who is best known for the role of Ronon Dex in Stargate: Atlantis). To me, he's the voice of Quinlan Vos, Darth Bane, and Jariah Syn. In the Darth Bane books (especially Path of Destruction), I had a number of voices for the various Sith. Most notably, I pictured Qordis as having the same voice as The G-Man from the Half-Life games. What's rather hilarious now though is that I can't for the life of me hear Hayden Christensen during Anakin's dialogue. Every time Anakin speaks, it's Matt Lanter now.
