I know she isn't an actor, but Michele Bachman really needs to be recruited to play Daala. Might be a good career change after the presidential run was a bust????
Alright, I'm sold. @CQuigley: Just because I can't think of any right now, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Another brief casting: Hugh Jackman as Dash Rendar
Garret Wang as Leland Chee http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20060605090422/starwars/images/8/8a/Leland_chee.jpg http://www.startrek.com/legacy_media/images/200307/wang01/320x240.jpg
I never thought I'd see the day when questions like "Who should play Jaina" are actually a legitimate concern.
Sorry for the thread necro, but I was just reading Legacy and got to the part where Rawk was lecturing Cade after his escape from Coruscant. As a fan of Supernatural, I completely read Rawk in Jim Beaver's voice. Then I realized, JIM BEAVER IS RAWK! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Jim_Beaver_by_Gage_Skidmore.jpg
So guys, I think the time has come. The time has come to pool our resources (albeit limited from living in our parents' basements) and dare the undareable. Think the unthinkable. Do the impossible. Commit the one true act that will allow our names to live on in the memories of Litizens of future generations to come. Some way, some how, through spam internet petitions or staking out on Skywalker Ranch the Cinderella Castle grounds, we must convince LFL/Disney to cast Steve Martin as Cal Omas. ....aaaaand convince them to make him the ST villain. All the STs would instantly win Oscars since Steve Martin's always hosting. ....aaaaaaaaaaaand we must convince them to give him his own spin-off series. Those would undoubtedly win more Oscars. Cal Omas would become a household name. ....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand we must convince them to make a Broadway musical starring Cal Omas called "King Hutt". It would have a kickass ensemble. Omas would be totally decked out in his Naga Sadow finest. I dunno who the Hutt would be -- Rotta I guess? They can use Detour's canned punk-Rotta design. Regardless, "King Hutt" would win Grammys up the wazoo. I dunno guys, LFL/Disney can't go wrong here. Steve Martin has been providing quality entertainment for generations. Star Wars has been providing quality entertainment for one generation and maybe subpar entertainment for two more. There's a reason Steve Martin is asked to host the Oscars all the time. Heck, he's probably the Sith Lord of the Oscars -- he IS the Academy! So Disney you want an Oscar? Sour your million Pixar films didn't win an Award yet? Well they won't because they're cartoons. And LucasFilm, you PO'ed none of your last seven six (I WILL NOT COUNT THAT TCW FIASCO!) films didn't win nada? Well they won't because they're sci-fi, and the Academy will always turn their nose up at you. So you guys want a shot at the Big One? Vote Steve Martin for Cal Omas. He's your man.
I think Cesare Gorgi... I mean Francois Arnaud as Jacen I think he could do a good job with Jacen's 'fall'. He is an awesome actor.
No the woman to play Daala is.... Julia Gilard she is also a crazy leader of a government that came to power under less then clear circumstances. Any ideas for ACTORS though?
As much as I'd love to see Michele Bachmann in the role of a female villain, I wouldn't want any of the female villains in Star Wars to be soiled by being played by Michele Bachmann.
The dude's I've always heard in my head...and this is all over the place so... Thrawn - Hugo Weaving Dash Rendar - Dennis Quaid Nick Rostu - Jeffrey Wright Jax Pavan - Josh Lucas I5-YQ - Hugh Grant (voice) Talon Karrde - Daniel Day Lewis ala Bill the Butcher Palleaon - James Brolin Bel Iblis - Sam Elliot I could probably go on for a while but thats the main ones...
