George Lucas's cameras, or film. Actually though, it'd probably be the Sony DSR-570 whatever the random letters are model.

Considering that I don't know of anyother types of cameras besides a Canon GL-1 and my own... I'd perefer anything you can can get good quality video and one you can hook up to your computer...

Wanna see a site with a lot of good camera reviews of the higher-end digital stuff?

    Go Here

I'd want the Viper and the stuff to run it.

I'd use a 35mm Arricam....almost got one of those, but HBO wanted us to pay for 1/2 of it...like THAT'S happening...

    So yeah, we're settling for Beta-SP and XL-1 :)

I wish I had to 'settle' for a XL1. But I am lucky enough to have access to a VX2K at school.

    Must... have... XL1

    What's this about HBO?

At least my school has GL2's.

Son of a famous director (unable to be named for some legal reasons...his son's name is listed on the website) edited our script.

His father has connections with HBO and they tried to get us a pair of Arricams complete with dolly systems. They'd be used cameras, but the costs to ship them safely were, hah, needless to say very high.

After haggling, HBO agreed to do it, but we would have to cover half the costs (for just a ballpark figure, we were looking at tens of thousands...hah...).

So yeah, the director tried, but that was their offer. We couldn't get the cams. He said it was probably for the best...ANY and ALL mistakes would appear in the final cut. DV compression allows for a few cosmetic errors...35mm cinema cameras are not as forgiving ;)

So maybe sometime we'll use pro cinema cameras...but until then, it's Sony Beta-SP and Canon XL-1s...and Sony TVR-990 for behind the scenes...also a nice cam ;)
