Abq Lobo Football

Well, truth be told, I am a big NM homer. I grew up in ABQ, but went to NMSU for their engineering program. Although I cheer for the AGGIES, I still root for the other NM school when they are on a national stage.

 

I go for the Aggies even though they are terrible.

 

Where are the Aggie fans I have been yelling at for the last few days?

Come on Aggie fans, where did you all go? I thought that some of you would be on here bashing the Lobos for almost getting beat by UNLV yesterday. It might have something to do with UTEP kicking the Aggies butts all over that football field on Saturday night. Kole Mckamey is the man this year for UNM.

Isn't their anyone out here that's happy about the Lobos actually starting off the season with a win?

 

I guess the other night they had a tornado warning in Las Cruces, and they made everyone go to Aggie Memorial Stadium, because they never get a touchdown there.

i am ecstatic the lobos won the first game of the year...now i know how mediocre they will be...24-22 over unlv...glad to see they moved the game to an earlier time to accomodate the geriatrics, so they will actually be awake for a game, way to go RUDY!!!

see, being an Aggie alum and fan i know what to expect from our football team...yall are hyped by the so called media intown only to let you all down.

Sounds like someone is jealous of the attention! sucks being the bastard step child of universities in the state huh! pobrecito! We can pretend NMSU is about as popular and cool as unm for their games if you want, will that make you feel better?

 

Yeah, TCU, a MWC school running over Oklahoma was pretty cool Lord_Melkor. If you haven't noticed, every year the Lobos start a little slow, so I'm not worried yet. The difference between last years opener and this years is that we won. If we're still playing like this in late October, then I will be worried.

I just wanted to say that the Aggies don't suck (ok, football can be debated).

NMSU is housing the University of New Orleans Baseball team free of tuition, books, and housing until UNO gets back up and running. I think that is incredibly cool of them. I am proud to be an Aggie.

 

That's cool. An isntructor told me that UNM is probably doing the same.

Awesome game last night!!! Didn't think they were going to do it. That is wicked good for our team, beating a Big 12 team on the road.

 

Have to give props to the Lobos for giving me a better game to watch last night.

It sucks when your team's defensive players are smaller than the opponents running backs.
