    Locus Magazine Website

Locus publisher, editor, and co-founder Charles N. Brown, 72, died peacefully in his sleep July 12, 2009 on his way home from Readercon.

As a long-time reader of and subscriber to Locus Magazine I was pretty upset to see this news. I knew he was getting old and had health issues but I was still sorry to read this. It sounds like he went having fun, though, by spending the weekend at Readercon.

According to the article the magazine will continue, and the August issue will have his obituary and tributes.

I don't think I've heard his name, but I've heard of Lotus. RIP :(
