London, ON London Imax

I sent them this note:

I belong to a group called Star Wars fanforce London, and we were hoping you would be playing Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones in their Worldwide Imax release Nov. 1st.
However, I don't see it on your coming soon list...will it be playing here?

However, I see that their coming soon list includes Lion King in december and Treasure Planet in nov/dec. So ep2 doesn't look likely here.

 

As far as we know, London has to upgrade to get it, and knowing London the chances of that are rather slim.

 

Because it's longer? Because they can play cartoon movies obviously.

 

Theres a bigger reason Deb can share with everyone about the IMAX.

Just so everyone knows, Justin and I are going to the IMAX in person on Thrusday and ask them.

 

Justin called them, but the manager is out of town until Monday so we'll have to do it next week. Also FYI (Paul, this is for you), my friend Adam from Toronto Fanforce has been given the job of calling all of the IMAX theatres there, so hopefully we'll get a confirmation from them sometime soon. If we don't get it here in London chances are that we'll try to go (as a Chapter?) to see it with either Toronto or Niagara Fanforce.

 

If T.O doesn't not get it we can the go to buffalo to see it. Pretty cool day trip. I can borrow a van from either my in laws or my own parents.

There's also the greyhound companion fare - if we buy tickets in 2's we get half price (it would be about $30 round trip then)

 

for $30 we all chip in a rent a car for the day. It does not cost that much, with five or six people joining in.

 

Well, I guess you guys don't knwo this (havn't seen any posts for it), but you guys ARE getting the Imax Episode 2 according to theforce.net. No need to go to Toronto for you guys over and over whenever you want to see it.

We ARE getting it....however I don't think it will be as big a deal here, quite honestly. London is a 'meh' city

So what do you guys have in mind?

 

I think Debby and/or Justin should visit the theatre and confirm that information before you make any plans.
