Lone Gundark and Cub

Given how the original Star Wars borrowed from Hidden Fortress and other Samurai movies, I think it'd be a good idea and an interesting movie to lift the concept of another Samurai story for a Spin off (or even series) movie - Lone Wolf and cub.

Have the movie be set 5 years or so after RotS, there is a lone wandering former Jedi who has a 3 year old (give or take) son that he travels with. They get involved in some local dispute pitting him against an Imperial, he uses his son in some clever ways to gain advantages etc.... And in the end you have the Jedi die and his son is taken in by someone he met during the movie, to be raised without the Jedi influence.

 

Or for the Boba Spin-Off, just do Yojimbo, it worked as a western. I'm not being snarky, i want Star Wars remakes of every samurai thing i can think of.

 

I'm not certain how I missed this thread before now, but I think that's a terrific idea for a SW film, Sluggo.
