I stumbled across some spoilers today while grocery shopping, of all things, so I thought it might be nice for the spoiled amongst us (or the inadvertently spoilerificated) to mention / rant about any unexpected spoilers they've stumbled across in their wanderings.

To start: today while grocery shopping I noticed that the Mini Wheats cereal boxes have gone e3 mad and contain mad spoilers, even on the front of the box.

So if you're a spoiler-phobe, close your eyes while passing the cereal section of your local.

Please watch Highlight to Read (In Pauls sig) for a response to that.

Fox seems to have some sorta series of behind the scenes things running.

Also beware in Games places, as the box art for the Ep3 game is up now.

And don't open your eyes if you pass any bookstores, or go into any newsagents...or go past any cinema complexes... [face_plain]

You can order groceries online here. Just avoid going to their kids section, and make sure you turn images off to avoid being spoiled by the breakfast cereal and M&M packets.

You should also by now have memorised the path between your work and home, so you can get there with the aid of a blindfold and blindstick to avoid billboards and bus ads.

Remember, early preperation is the key here people.

Also avoid television and radio, as the advertising for those has started. You may consider selling them to avoid temptation.

Stay away from conversation, as it will inevitibly come up as a topic amongst the general public out there who are only Star Wars fans every 3 years, as they may discuss the images they have seen and quotes heard during the ads.

Basically, lock yourself in a bunker and get your food delivered, read no magazines post october 2004, and you may just be able to avoid spoilers.

    Bah, it's not that bad.

And there's nothing wrong with posting warnings to people who'd like to avoid most of the spoilers if they can.

I'm not about to dig a hole and live there for a month and a half, but if someone points something out to me that I may or may not want to avoid then I'll be greatful for that.

I can't avoid all spoilers, but surely I can't be prosecuted for wanting to minimize what I do get inadvertantly spoiled by.

    Edit: Me fail English?

True, and if this thread helps me avoid even 1 percent of it, then that's still better than 0.

Yup, newspaper ads have begun. I saw two poster ads that I would have liked to avoid. At least they were promos and not actual clips or images out of the movie. :)

It probably goes without saying, but now is a dark time for the spoiler-free to stagger into a newsagent. Just today I grabbed a copy of Empire magazine with an E3 cover and a good half dozen page feature ...

I also saw a few computer game mags (Hyper?) have some features on the Episode 3 game...

You mean we'll actually have to look at the contents page of a magazine before reading it?

I don't know what you're all complaining about. Being spoiler-free is easy...unless you're a mod who has to delete spoiler material for the sake of you people who are complaining about how hard it is to be spoiler-free. :p

You knwo what I find funny? I'm on a checkout last night, and what comes through? A Kelloggs promo of some kind, where in each box are some (patented) lightsaber spoons! What the FH is up with that!?!

I mean, talk about something that is trying to cash up on something that's trying to cash up...if you get my drift.

    It's desperate. [face_plain]

Just came back from lunch at the Thai resturant in Fox.

For the ultra mega spoiler free folk, you're going to need blindfolds and good friends the night of the premiere.

There's a sploilerish poster about 3 stories high right at the entrance....

I was at Grace Bros / Myer today and they had a reasonably sized Star Wars episode 3 toy section jumping out on the aisle there.
