Waco, TX Looking for SW fans into costumes, art, props............

I'm looking for people into costumes/props designing costumes or any kinda art related to SW/fantasy. I'm an artist with a notebook full of origional costume designs inspired by SW and other fantasy films from classic films from the 50s to Conan to Lord of the Rings. Hopefully there is someone in our area into the same things as I am, and maybe we can get together and actually make these designs into actual costumes and do a little role-playing. I am really interested in costumes. I have been looking at making the nefrititi costume looking thing from EP 2. I have been looking for someone to work on costumes with, I am not the best sewer but I am willing to learn for a cool costume.

 

I'm not the best person at sewing either...but I have made myself a jedi costume 2 years ago that I still love to wear. Right now, I am really wanting to make several costumes sorta Jedi-battle ready. By the way, which outfit in Ep2 do you mean?

I don't sew either but I'm going to start on my jedi knight costume so it will be ready in time for ep2. Maybe we could get together and trade patterns and ideas

Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh.....that costume. Thats a lot of detail, and looks like a challenge to make. Everything Natalie wears in SW becomes even more beautiful only because in my honest opinion, she is perfect for the role of Padme. Who's with me?

 

I've been looking on the net for some pattens and really haven't had much luck.

 

I think it's best when you make your own patterns....it's a learning experience. You should try it.

 

You try making a pattern for that dress, I can't even imagine!!!! LOL I don't even want to think about not being able to find a pattern. Hey will any of you be going to the Celebration, or to the Celebration in costume??
