P.Rico Lord of the Button Project

Ok, here we go.
For those of you that the word has not gotten in, we are planning to bring the Lord of the Button to life!
Idealmente, comenzariamos a grabar el proximo Verano, para que todo el mundo tenga tiempo libre y sirve de segundo proposito el que tengan bastante tiempo para reunir disfraces.

Yo he visto disfraces de Frodo y Sam para adulto. Los mismos se pueden modificar facilmente para hacer a Merry y a Pippin. Gandalf the White se puede convertir en Saruman (aunque SI existe un disfraz de Saruman). Lo importante es que nos pongamos de acuerdo para mandar pedir todos los drisfraces a un solo sitio a la vez, y quiza podamos conseguir mejor precio. Los disfraces varian desde $35 hasta $45. Chequeen accesorios para su personaje en la misma pagina. Lo que no encontremos, lo podemos hacer en los talleres.
Igualmente, todos tendremos mas de un papel que representar. Hay Uruk-Hais, Orcs, Ringwraiths, Warriors of Rohan and Gondor, etc.. asi que la participacion de todos esta asegurada.

Bueno, aparte de eso necesitamos escribir un guion basado en los posts y hacer un par de storyboards de escenas que se vayan a grabar, checar locaciones, etc..

Mi contribucion hasta el momento es la camara de video; Disfraces de Gimli, Uruk-Hai y Ringwraith; Armamento en general; participacion dibujando storyborads y reconstruccion de escenas; Fight Coreography (aunque no se si habra escenas de batalla) y materiales basicos para hacer props.

Comentarios, sugerencias, etc.. please post!
Tambien seria ideal si pudieran asegurar su participacion. En caso que no les interese participar, tendremos tiempo para buscar reemplazos y dividir papeles.

You have my staff. ¿Hay planes ya para el pre-production (aparte de los disfraces)?

 

Pues no, aun no hemos organizado nada en concreto. La meta aqui seria tomar las escenas que se han posteado en el thread del tributo a LOTR y hacerlas libreto. En base a eso, crear storyboards para las escenas complicadas y empezar a hacer stock de disfraces. Todavia falta tambien ver quien se puede encargar de que y asegurarse de que todos los participantes tengan su papel principal definido.
Oh well, yo supongo que podremos discutirlo mas a fondo en la reunion mensual.

 

Bueno aunque no puedo ayudar en persona, puedo ayudar en la historia so que IM me!

 

Count me in for whatever you guys need for the project. From carrying things, drawing, makeup, storyboards, and extra uruk hai, stunts, you name it. Except for any kinky Tony stuff....

 

Para los que ya me conocen bien, saben que me tiraria la actuacion pa' rapido. Ademas para cualquier otro "creative process" cuenten conmigo!

Llegaron a hablar de esto en la reunion? En que ha quedado? Me gustaria ayudar con los storyboards y la creacion de las escenas. Tambien puedo cooperar con materiales, ademas de las replicas de las espadas (Glamdring, Legolas', Sting) tambien tengo la replica del One Ring con la cadena de plata y otras cosas mas.

Debemos ir haciendo inventario de que tenemos y que nos hace falta comprar. Cada cual seria responsable de su disfraz, no?

i've been practicing with Final Cut Pro 4, and i feel comfortable editing in that program... however i still need adobe after effects to finish up the lightsaber scenes of "Project SIUL"... with the mac it's gonna be faster and better...

LOTR:Tribute is scheduled to be filmed at summer, so from here to there "SIUL" should be ready

Ok, about the project, maybe we should create a "core" team to properly plan and prepare all the sequences, storyboards, transitions, shots, etc..
You should not feel like you are not part of the project or anything. This team will only serve to put order in the project and in the end, everyone will participate and be a part of it.
Also, if Jan would be so kind as to create one of his famous lists, it would be great to be able to see who plays what character.

Those of you who want to participate in the project (by this I mean actually portray a character) should PM me with the name of your character so we can start getting the casting organized. Once we start working on the actual storyboards (date TBD), we won't be accepting any more roles, so if you are interested, act fast!

And as a final note, I was talking to Lucidus about an idea I have of creating an open discussion (thread) where everyone who wants to help out with the story and scenes can submit their ideas to the "core team" and the rest of the Lord of the Button team. That way, everyone will be able to provide their ideas but it will be up to a select few to actually organize, work on, and expand on these ideas. Also on this Thread the "core team" could provide updates to the story as it is being developed. So don't worry, like Darth_Valle said, everyone who wants to help out will be able to.

 

Hey Jan, I think you forgot somebody's eye...

Without it, you don't have a main villian.

Also, Pablo is on Mexico right now, but I'm sure he will want you to add him to the list as Pabluman.

Oh, and about the core team, I offer my help if needed (I might not have the best drawing skills, but I can lend you a hand with the transportation (el RafaMovil) and with the video editing and massive distribution (making copies). Also, I might be of some help with the special effects).

I already knew all of you wanted to participate, I just wanted to receive a PM from everyone so I could organize things better. Remember that threads like this one can be edited or even deleted completely, but private messages are a more "permanent" way of storing and having a record of data. And also, I would have concrete evidence and proof that you indeed accepted to be in this project.

 

De casualidad a mis sobrinos les dio la fiebre de LOTR y filmaron una parodia de las películas en la casa de mi cuñado en Quebradillas. La casa tiene atrás un llano con un pequeño monte, y un camino en piedra hacia una represa que podrían resultar interesantes para filmar. Y si, se puede nadar en el rió. Por supuesto, tendría que hablar con mi cuñado.

Estoy disponible para cualquier cosa. No soy el mejor dibujante del mundo, pero puedo ayudar en eso.
