Whoa whoa whoa settle down. I was not intending to attack you. Yeah AUJ's soundtrack somewhat borrows from the other 3 films.

No big deal man! You're perfectly entitled to your opinion! And yes, TUJ is the weakest of the soundtracks.

Youtube is probably the last place to go for reasonable conversation. :p

    STOP THE PRESSES!

I just noticed something, Khazad-Dum on the CR is microedited, some bars are snipped out at about 2:01, its about 0:09 seconds long.

I noticed this while watching the EE DVD's, you can hear the missing material in the Previz

there is a bit of Amon Hen/Prologue and a variation of the footsteps of doom end cap with choir in the prologue storyboard.

I was reading a SW book and listening to the music at the end of the soundtrack and I got teary-eyed.

The Bridge of Khazad Dum scene when Gandalf falls off the bridge with the Balrog...the music is amazing. And then when Frodo goes "NO!" I always cry.
The Breaking of the Fellowship is the best soundtrack of the whole trilogy IMHO...

Don't know if any of you know or care about this, but Lindsey Stirling did a music video for a Lord of the Rings Medley that's really quite good:

She's very talented. You should check out her other medleys. Back on topic, I love the soundtrack for the trilogy. Great stuff.

    Her music is always awesome.

Except the really awkward Elder Scrolls one.

I really enjoyed the song the dwarves sang in The Hobbit, "Misty Mountain".

As did I, it always sent shivers down my spines in the trailers.

    On another note:

Best bit of music in LOTR. Who agrees??

I've probably listened to these scores more than any other. Love what Howard Shore can do.
