One extra being of interest is "cameo appearance of Jackson being felled by an arrant arrow."

 

It's only a month later than the other two have been, much better than the rumours that had it as late as Febuary next year. The sculpt of Minas Tirith that comes with the 5 disc set will great, although I know a few ppl that will be dissapointed it wasn't Shelob.

How exciting! I'm not going to buy this straight away coz I'll be on an aeroplane on the 1st of December, but I'm going to watch it in England with my LotR loving friend! I'll probably get it when I get back at some point.

I am thinking of getting "Rozenkranc and Gildenstern are Dead" (the one Tom Stoppard actually directed) as well. We will see. I have time.

 

We'll be getting the 5 disc set with the sculpt as per usual.

 

I'll be looking for the cheap way out, as spending a weeks wages on a DVD set is not my idea of fun.
Especially considering I can't save...

I'll set the version without the statuette-type thing...

I guess i'll be waiting for the usual price war to erupt so I don't pay 149.95 for it, I got the last 2 for less than 110 I think, just waited a few days after release for it.

 

I would have loved for it to have been Shelob. The sculpt they did of her is fantastical. And it looks like they may be making more of them. If anyone can confirm that for me, that would be soo cool...

Around that time of year, I'll be making a fair bit of cash, so I can afford to splurge and get the deluxe set. I'll also have to get me some new audio gear as well.

I've already got all three films in the standard cinema release, but I think I might strongly consider getting the 12 disk box set containing all three extended editions.

Just have to convince the Mrs.

Looks over shoulder, maybe I should have stayed with my last g/f, she was a huge film buff, she would have seen the value in having both sets.

That's where I luck out JA, being with someone who worked on the films, and therefore insists we buy the Extended Editions

I'd love to get the full set, but I think I'd only be able to afford the regular EE. Meh, no bother ... as long as i see the movie.

Yes we do, but it's faster to get it in the US, most time's it's cheaper and I have been burnt before, where the special features on the Australian Version of a DVD is not sa good as the US version.
