ST Lord Revan Awakens

Just sayin'.

We already have confirmation on the cross guard saber from the concept art.
The costume in the concept art is nearly identical to Revan's.
Our first rumored title was "The Ancient Fear".
If you watch the dark side clip in the teaser, it almost looks like the villain's belt is metallic.
We should be prepared for confirmation of the awakening of Darth Revan with a new saber.

If this needs to be merged into another thread, so be it. Just didnt want it overlooked.

 

This would be neat, but I freaking doubt it. It'd be too good to be true.

 

he's not Revan, the main villain is a Sith Collector and "Revan"'s mask is part of his collection.

 

I hope that doesnt come out to be true.

Doesnt sound evil enough imo. Maybe he will have a back story that we dont know about that will pump me up.

 

Is Revan still canon?

Besides the obvious similarities in design, I did think it was a funny coincidence that the new expansion for TOR is centered around Revan.

 

Either way, that is canonizing Revan and I am all sorts of cool with that!

The EU was never canon. Ever. Revan could be pulled into canon though.

 

Oh, yea, I know. I guess I was thinking of how close Revan came to being canon when they almost put him in a Clone Wars episode. And I've seen it mentioned that TOR may be canon, but I wasn't sure where that info was coming from.

Even the Bane novels are Legends and the character IS canon.

 

Which is an amazing expansion: the story just blew my mind, they are really going into the right direction with the game.

But still, Revan is not canon. I can see his mask somwhere (just like we saw Mandalorian mask from KotOR in TCW), but he is not going to show up in the movies.

Revan or the mask being a nod to Revan, I just want a good story & strong characters.

 

I sincerely hope that Revan does become canonized.

 

Why is he holding a Green lightsaber on that book? I don't know the story on this guy since i've never followed the EU. He doesn't look much like the grave robber from the leaked concept art though. That character has the cyborg face and this Revan looks like some other dude.

 

If the mask is confirmed as Revan's in the movie, our wish will be true

An artifact collecting wannabe sith as the villain just doesnt do it for me.
A grave robber who's goal is to bring Revan back to life, does. What he would want with Vader's helmet - I dont know.

 

Maybe he'll use Vader's head like in Indy 4 with the crystal skull. You know as a mind control device

 

I think a wannabe Sith could be very interesting. Especially if it's Han and Leia's son.

 

It would be cool to eventually get a KOTOR-esque movie. I could even see it having winks and nods to the new trilogy. Imagine in VII this grave robber digs up this artifact mask out of some cave or whatnot. Then in the KOTOR spinoff we see where Revan last removes his mask and it's the same place just hundreds/thousands of years prior in the timeline. Anyone else think this would be cool?

 

Star Wars is the story of the tradgedy of Darth Vader.
Revan had a very similar lightside, darkside, lightside transition as Anakin/Vader did.
Wonder if they could tie that in somehow.
Something like, they were the only 2 chosen ones who could bring balance & both need to be alive to keep the balance.

 

There is nothing stopping Revan being made canon and having his backstory completely changed.

 

I would love the Sith Collector to be a cackling, stereotypical fanboy about his "collection." "This Plagueis standee was never assembled!"

 

I've said before in the spin-off and/or TV threads (maybe both) that I would L-O-V-E for Revan to be canonized, and having the mask in TFA confirmed as belonging to him would do the trick nicely.

That way, you get Revan in the door as a canon character, and then maybe use that mention to make the wider audience aware of the character, before depicting him fully in an Old Republic film/trilogy/TV series, or what have you.

I think that would be great.
