ST Lord Revan Awakens

Bane was also never the player character of one of the most defining Star Wars video games ever made. Revan is a mystery. He (or she) can be whoever or whatever the player wants. All that is known is Revan did exist and he had a mask.

It would be far easier to canonize Bastila or even Malak whos stories are pre-determined. Darth Nihilus would be another cool one.

Yes, the details are different... but the combination of a similar mask with a black hood are really what's driving the Revan comparisons. Whether it's Revan or not, it's derivative of/inspired by Revan.

Hopefully they will one day tweak KOTOR so our dear Dark Lord, Darth Revan can return to the canon

 

Revan's story in the game was predetermined. It had a result and ending that BioWare deemed "canon" to the story (in short, he was male and the light side ending was the official ending).

 

Well, the Exiles name has been canonized and so was Revan's face and sex. Still like I said, we don't need to know his name and since he died pretty finally there is no chance that Kylo Ren is him. I just mentioned it because since we don't know Revan's real name, naming the character Kylo Ren is in on itself not enough to prove it isn't him.

 

I don't see any chance the character of Revan will be in the film. But using the relic of Revan's mask? Awesome.

And a huge olive branch to fans of the saga's vast Legends history.

 

I like Darth Nihilus as well as Darth Sion.

I figured it wasn't her. She's like 8 feet tall and the figure in the teaser didn't look that gigantic. Well guys any other guess? At this point it's pretty much gotta be either Adam driver or Andy Serkis. I'm betting the latter.

 

Both Adam Driver and Gwen Christie are 6'3".

I think Serkis is playing the cyborg.

 

At this point it is probably safe to assume the most we will get of Revan is a mention that the Sith Collector has his mask or whatever our latest dark sider is calling himself has it. Which I'm fine with this, it acknowledges he exist at some point in the universe. Which allows the possibility for a TOR Spin-Off film/Trilogy which to be honest would be the most fantastic amazing thing ever!

Correct, he is not canon. We hope that he is brought into canon like Bane was. They were so close to doing it once that they actually had built computer models of him for animation in TCW. We hold hope that it could actually happen someday.

Not really. Revan doesn't touch the convoluted mess that was post-ROTJ EU. There really is an all but zero chance that they will bring in Mara, the solo kids or Ben

 

Looks like they were going with his actual EU look. Wonder why they went with a Shredder from TMNT look for Bane instead of his normal EU look?

 

In that same episode that they were considering Revan, they also considered Bane. At the time they were going to run with his traditional EU look too.

 

I prefer it to the Shredder look.

 

Yeah, Revan lived and died 3000 years before the movies, so canonizing him and perhaps Kotor and a whole wouldn't really limit Disney in any way so that's why we are hopefull that we might hear his name in TFA
