I'm totally cool with that. He will probably live in my motorhome most of the time. Do either of you know how one would go about acquiring a manaquin for that?

Breaking from wherever this thread was going and since we don't have a thread for Gen Con I figured I'd post some pics of Rob's Vader in action. Only got a couple since Rob couldn't stay long but hey at least he got some hand chopping action in there.

I had nothing to do with the hand thing just for the record. Thank you Dini for posting those pics. Uh! I hate being short in the costume.:D
It was fun and thanks for being there.

Hey, does anyone know a reputable place to get the accesories for trooper armor? Green lenses, boots etc.

Go to the Costumes and Props forum, there are some Stormtrooper threads in the thread index which is the 2nd sticky thread at the top.

If you don't find the info you need in one of those, just post your question about the lenses. I know that question does come up from time to time.

Does this mean you and Val have picked up the armor? Or are you just getting ready for when you do?

The armor is sort of in limbo. I don't know if it will be done in time for Toys for Tots, but either way it'll be cool to have another trooper in the club.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way Rob, but that costume looks infinitely better under all those lights. The photos you posted of midnight madness for the ROTS DVD didn't do the costume justice. It looks much better in the photos Dini posted.

You do look a little short though.

Well a couple things with this photo. One, I forgot my padding that goes on top of my head to make the helmet sit higher. Two, I waxed the helmet which gave is a great shine and fixed the cap so it sits right.
    And......yes.....I know I'm too short:rolleyes:

Yes, I am up grading "Vader in a Box"
After months of looking and doing research I figured out how to make the Vader voice work with out feed back.
So, Vader can now talk out of his face mask. Most Vader don't that. They use a amp voice box outside like on a belt.
I still get feed back if I up pump up the volume but it works now.

    More up grades!!!
The chest box never truly blink.....cuz no kit out in the mark was reasonable enough to use. So, after do months of shopping I found a kit that will allow two of the three lights blink. It Looks great!

I will be finish up the neck piece this week and hopefully I will have fan system that will allow the user to keep the neck, face cool while keeping the lens from fogging up.

Oh yeah, I have to trim the cape with leather or pleather.
    Good time!!!
    Rob out
