    OK guys, I know it's not as catchy as "Lose 30 for the 30th", but with the 'Announcement' so near, we have less than a year to get it in shape!!

    The goal is 30 plus *mumbuly mumbly* within the 10 mionths - surely we can do it!!!

    I've dropped 40 since C-4, and plan on getting down to my goal by c-5 - who's with me?

    n00b alert:

    This sounds like a great idea. I'm on a wellness program at work right now, so something like this would definately add to the motivation.

    Hopefully once the official announcement is made there will be more interest.

    So should we start off the plan.

    I've been doing push ups for a while and it's showing off.

    start with 3 sets, 1 set, wait for 10 minutes and do another set and so on.

    At first just start with as many as you can.

    The goal is to be able to do 3 sets of 20 push ups "easily" within 2 months.

    What do you think of this idea?

    I am going to go out walking alot more and do whatever weight training I can.

    I'm down 7 lbs so far. So far I've kicked caffeine (except on Sundays) and my average walks have gone from .5 miles to a 1.5 miles. I'm trying to build endurance so I don't accidentally kill myself when I go for a gym membership.

    Good to hear that others are making progress.

    Shoot! I gained 10 pounds and been trying to get rid of them for a month with no luck. ...well I did loose 3 pounds, but it so slow progress.
    My goal was to loose 12 pounds, I lost 3, still need to loose 9.

    You keep on it! I'll pray you reach your goal same as I.

    Do I qualify? Not sure. I'm 5'8'' and started at 174lbs, I'm 158lbs now and that took a year. UGH. Want to get down to 135lbs by CV as I'm a girl and have a rather small frame so all this looks ridiculous. So it's a 39 total loss with 23 left to go. w00t!

    Plus I am obsessed with costumes and I need to be in my best shape to go as Marasiah Fel. :D

    I put on a few pounds, but doubled my effort in cardio. I'm now about 10 lbs lighter than my starting weight. A big challenge for me was building endurance enough that I wouldn't kill myself on a treadmill or other gym equipment. Working out has always been a challenge for me because of my asthma. Of course, that's all the more reason to go after a higher standard of health.

    There needs to be some sort of sacred pact though. Get to your goal by such and such a date or go to CV as Jaxxon.:D

    Count me in! I did it for C4 and I so very badly need to get back on the diet and exercise track. For the lose 30 for the 30th challenge I started a challenge for whoever was interested on weighins.com. It was a great motivator :) Anyone interested in a "Fit for Five" challenge?

    Besides, NOBODY here wants Obi-Wan Kenobi mistaking us for a "space station". :p

    So I weighed myself on Saturday. I am down about 12lbs from my starting weight. Though looking at myself I would swear I've gotten heavier.

    I'm aiming to lose 30 by April for sister's wedding. :p

    As for C5, we'll see how I do in getting down before April. ;)
