I'd agree with DL on this. I don't agree with everything he says, but I do agree with his statements here (and I love LOST.)

 

I wouldn't be surprised if it will be movie of the year

 

he's totally right. This is the ultimate sequel. I mean, what other company buyout and movie sequel announcement, specially one 29 years after a the last movie in sequence came out, would cause a ruckus like this?

The only other thing I could see causing this much stir would be a Back to the Future sequel, involving MJF and Chis Lloyd.

 

Hope he is wrong...it would be difficult that the biggest event movie, a.k.a. the most comercial movie ever would not be a popcorn movie. I hope it will be a big event, but not the biggest event movie. I hope they do not go the comercial way, recasting old casts...

 

Depends on what you mean by event. I don't think he is saying it will be number one but it will be the biggest event. Meaning family and friends going to see at on opening night. People dressed up. Star Wars brings out people. They will be in line for weeks

 

Well, Episode VII is definitely encouraging me to come up with a new set of Jedi Robes, and I'm going with my kids!

 

My son is 6 and really in to Star Wars now. This will be prefect timing

 

Not sure I'd bet on it being the biggest film of the year.
