Part 1
?Evasive manoeuvres!? Shouted Commander Tarrick, as the star destroyer veered away from a rebel attack craft sending officer and soldier alike crashing to the floor. A young officer scrambled to his feet ?Sir,? he gasped ?Our hyperdrive has been hit!? The Commander Stood in the middle of the bridge, watching his ship being torn apart by the rebels. ?Evacuate!? he yelled over the blaring sirens ? Everyone to the escape pods!?
Tarrick ran through the ship, destruction and chaos all around him, stormtroopers trying to patch holes, or tend to the wounded. He reached the escape pod with his elite guard waiting inside; Tarrick took one last glance at the inside of his ship. The docking rings released and they were hurled into the black void of space over the planet Brackis and away from the dying star destroyer.
Thud! The impact of the pod on the ground shook its inhabitants into awareness.
The Commander stumbled out into the dense swampland the smell of earth and rotting vegetation filled his nostrils, making him clap his hand to his mouth, the stormtroopers filed out behind him. The Commander signalled the squad to follow him into the thick vegetation.
After hours of trekking through swampland and swatting at flies, the unit came to a cave surrounded in mist. The Commander brushed aside a thick layer of vines from the entrance, ?Sergeant, Establish a perimeter, we make camp here tonight, TK487, you?ll come with me into the cave and scout it out.?
The cave was warm and clammy, vines clung to the ceiling and insects buzzed around, but there was something else here, ?Stay here,? ordered the Commander ?I?ll go ahead. The stormtrooper leaned against a cave wall checking his weapon, suddenly, he heard a rushing noise and a twisted laugh in the depths of the cave ? Commander?? The stormtrooper advanced cautiously ?Commander, I AUUUUUGGGGHHHH!?
The wind blew through the remnants of the camp; a stormtrooper helmet was embedded in the swamp. Frantically scratched on a tree was one message: he is coming?
