Phx LOTR DVD

Wow, has anyone else picked it up? I can not believe how awesome the Preview for the Two Towers is!?!?!?! I only watched that much of it, anyone find any easter eggs in it?

 

I'm waiting for the 3-disk edition coming out in a few months to buy, but I did see the Two Towers preview at ComicCon. It is amazing. I can't wait to see the film!!

 

I didn't know about the 3 disc special edition until I opened up my package yesterday and saw the add for it. I'll probably by that one too...

 

Yea, I bought the 'normal' one for my dad (it's his b-day), and I plan to buy the supa one in November...

 

We need to have a LOTR viewing party!!! Who wants to host us? (I don't think you want to watch it on my 19" monitor, or I'd open up my place )

Actually, the DVD that comes out November 12th is a FOUR disc set. So there is even that much more to enjoy. I am waiting for that set. I am dying to see the movie again, but I am making myself wait.

There is also the 4 disc gift set coming out that includes the 4 disc expanded version (the film uses two of those discs) plus a revised National Geographic Tolkein DVD, plus the bookends of the Numendorian Statues, and a bunch of other stuff. Costs a little more but that's what I'm going for. I rented the current DVD and it made me glad I'm waiting. Those extended scenes will rock. I only wish ILM would do the same for ATOC.

 

I think I will just by both.

 

i've got a 48" 16x9 aspect ratio hdtv (like you didn't know by now) and our pool finally got finished today. so um... how about here? (if i get the mom's permission)

i watched absolutely everything on both dvds yesterday except for the website thing about the music. they're not kidding, it takes around 2 hours to get through everything... took me even longer because i did stuff in between watching things.

watched the movie last night and immediately wanted to watch it again... and you gotta remember, my impression after seeing the movie the first time was that it was a complete piece of crap that paled in comparison to the book.

i now adore it.

while we're on the subject, in case there was ever any doubt, yes, i am a hobbit. and i'm married to pippin. dammit.

I said $%&% it and went and bought this one. Its only $20 at Costco. I was going to watch it last night but you know the rest.
