    30 hours huh?

lets see, 8 different audio tracks at 208 min a piece (3.5 hrs) equals 28 hours.

So that means theres just over 2 hours of extras included on the other discs?

Or, if you just count the movie and the 4 commentaries, that's only 17.5 hours of movie, leaving another 12.5 of possible extras.

But I'll tell ya, plenty of other discs count every possible audio track in their X hours of content...

    Gotta love being a spoilsport!

Crud...a concern just popped in my head.

If the DVD requires a french language track, we may lose out on one of the audio features, as a result, like with Monsters, Inc.

If that occurs...I'm buying the US version.

Christina: Hahaha, I so totally know what you mean...me too!:D

    Adam: Oh, that's right...that could suck big time...well, sorta...depends on what they'd cut...if it's something i don't quite care about, i wouldn't mind the french:)

I don't think its been officially announced, but if almost every major DVD release in the past few months is any indication - french language track and bilingual covers will be found on the new disc.

I'm hoping that is not the case...but we'll see.

DVD suggested retail 54.95 for the 4-disk set. The gift set is one hundred and something. That's the suggested retail - most stores will sell for less.

I keep fairly up-to-date on most DVD releases, but I can't seem to find the release date for the gift set. Any idea when it will be released?

Xmas will be nice: LOTR Gift Set, Minority Report, and the Back to the Future Trilogy (Dec. 17 - finally!)
