Syra, NY LOTR MARATHON - who's going?

Ok guys,
Not sure who read this yet but check THIS out....

Im going! ! ! ! ! ! !

Anyone else up for this?

In case you dont want to click on the link.....they are going to show the LOTR and TTT extended version at carousel mall in DEc. And if that isnt cool enough they are showing a marathon of all 3 movies in one day for the premier..... OYE!

 

I might consider it, however it depends on movie times, etc. I am unwilling to commit at this time and of course it will probably be sold out by the time I'm willing to.

 

I believe the times are as follows:
3pm LOTR
7pm TTT
I believe midnight for Return of the king.

At any rate, should be a good time.....

I might be going to see that...depending on where it is. I know one of my friends really wants to go to that thing. It sounds really cool.

I am going to book the days off work as vacation time so I am now up for this.

Vicky are you going to book tickets for all of us or should we do it by ourselves

 

hmmm that a good question.......Its playing at carousel.........I can call there and find out how early you can buy tickets and cost etc......
I should know by saturday and if we can get them ASAP I will collect money at that point

Everyone keep in mind its till 3 am and we have tossed the idea around about going to breakfast afterwards so it could be till 5 ish? LOL

I'm going, but I already have my ticket... I'd highly sugest jumping online and buying them. I know Albany has already sold out, so I'm guessing Carousel won't be far behind.

Ok, official times and such:

This badboy movie marathon begins at 2pm on December 16th, 2003. My guess is it will get over around 2-3am December 17th.

As to where to buy tickets, my friend got them off of movietickets.com, but to be more specific:

Look for the date changer, put it to 12/16/03, and then put in the zipcode (just to be safe). Press the Carousel link, and you'll see The Lord of the Rings: Trilogy. That's our baby. Not too bad eh?

Hi! I think my kids have been afraid to ask me, because they haven't mentioned it. I think it would be really cool, but since its on a Tuesday/Wednesday and neither my kids nor I are off from school/work, we will not be going. I won't take my kids out of school for a movie(s), regardless of how much we would enjoy it.

Bummer. Too bad they couldn't have planned it practically.

WOW, i gust relized it was on a school day, that problily mean i'm no longer going , but i think thats not the only time/day it happening!

 

Yep, it's a school day. It's good to be a grad student

And unfortunatly, this is the only time they'll have the insane 12 hr movie marathon. But I could be wrong.
