So for the rest of you, who are your fav characters from the movie?

    I'm going with Boromir.

I don't think I've posted here before, despite having lived in Boston for 12 years now, but I thought I'd drop in and comment.

I've seen it twice in the last week. Absolutely loved it. Of course, they took creative license and drew in a few things that weren't mentioned until later in the trilogy, but it helped the story flow better.

    High points:

Legolas--very believable warrior, noble spirit and great courage.

Strider--Exactly as I pictured him, only better.

The attraction of the One Ring--it gave us a very real perspective on the draw of power and the madness of it all. Especially liked Bilbo trying to grasp it once more and Galadriel's 'test'.

Saruman--I don't know why, but when I saw the portrayal, I had to wonder if this is sort of the way the Emperor gained associates and slaves. Or Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter.

Moria--eerie as all getout. The Orcs skittering down the columns like spiders. The Balrog gave me nightmares.

Boromir--liked the fluctuation between warrior spirit and mad ambition.

    Gandalf--I just love this guy.

Sam--I wanted to hug him to death. He's such a good, loyal, and slightly batty friend.

    Low points:

Um, can't think of any, except for omissions.

    LEGOLAS!!

For obvious reasons...and the fact that the bow and arrow thing he does, well its pretty freaking cool!

I also like Aragorn and Gandalf. And Sam definetly deserved to be hugged to death...too cute!

Oh and I can get posters of just Legolas online...I've seen them.
