LOTR:ROTK ticket sales begin in late September or early October?!?!? Did I read that right?

And, I thought the extended version was coming out in November... now it's December!?! *sigh*

The Extended Deluxe version of the DVD is being released on November 18...what you are confused about is the re-release of the film(s) to the theaters leading up to ROTK. The plan is to re-release both FOTR and TTT (extended versions) to theaters in anticipation of the December 17 opening of ROTK - clever idea!

Being the patient person I am, I purchased my DVD on Tuesday and watched it that night - it still has the greatest opening ever for a film! When the Deluxe DVD is released, I will buy that one as well and give my brother the regular version (just like I did with FOTR) - he needs some real culture in his life, otherwise all he does is watch the Packers. Anyways, the current DVD has a 10-minute preview of ROTK and that could very well be the best film of the trilogy (I think they intentionally didn't show such things as Shelob, Eowyn's battle with the King of the Nazgul and the Army of the Dead in this preview - which is a good thing - that way I can be surprisingly thrilled, and eagerly anticipating, to see how they portray them in the film).

Oh please...give me a frelling break! I didn't mention who or what Shelob was, did I? Besides, she's mentioned by Gollum at the end of The Two Towers so, unless you were deaf.... I also didn't give away what happens with Eowyn etc and I didn't say who the Army of the Dead were or who leads them! Sheeeessshhhh! That's all I'm going to say because, if I said what I was really thinking, I'd be banned.

 

Shelob? Army of the Dead? Eowyn fights the

King of the Nazgul? Oh Man! The movie is

ruined! I don't want to go see it now!

(buries face in pillow and cries for hours)

 

Spoilers are spoilers. The fact that the book has been out for many years really isn't relevent. There are plenty of people that have read the book but are avoiding viewing any images or articles from the movie until it comes out. I completely agree with Tom's point of view.

YEA! I got my advanced tickets to the 11:58 p.m. showing on the 16th to see ROTK at RIDGE! Anyone else going then so that I can meet up with you?

Anyone else besides me get their tickets to see all other movies back in the theater again in their extended versions? What a blast!

Actually a lot of us are going to that showing - we are meeting around 4:30 - 5 at the Applebes right next to the theatre.

 

I'm seeing ROTK in Toronto on Tuesday the 16th while attending the Gathering of the Fellowship convention up there. I'm also competing in their costume contest as Arwen in the grey chase outfit (thank you, Beret!) from FOTR (wig and elven ears as well). Wish me luck!
