Jono, you managed to try a Speights Summit? The Speights equivalent of the Steiny Pure. Far better IMO. You gonna be back in NZ for Feb 7's but you back for New Years etc? And for the 7's are you wanting me to try get you a ticket or are you gonna take care of that yourself?

My thoughts exactly, it's certainly in my top beers... possibly top 3...

In no particular order:
Speights
Speights Summit
Montieths Celtic
Crown Lager (yes, Ozzi I know)

 

That's a toughie. I like lagers draughts and dark beers.

Dark:
1. Emerson's Organic Oatmeal Stout
2. Speights Porter
3. Monteiths Black

Draught:
1. Speights ***
2. Speights ***
3. Speights Distinction (just to be different).

Lager:
1. Speights Summit (Coz I like summit to drink....)
2. Macs Gold
3. Steiny Pure

Personally I drink dark beers when I go out. 1. Can't drink as much 2. Don't end up making a charlie of myself 3. Clear head in the morning.

 

I'm rather anti Macs eh. Not a fan.

 

No added sugar. Won't make you fat bro.

 

Me, fat? High metabolism and active bro... doesn't matter what I eat I'm stable and love it.

 

Of course I haven't had one, there ain't no beautiful Speights here in Canada that's for sure and must say I do miss it. Rach and I do live with a Beer Rep so we haven't ever had to buy alcohol since, we have this awesome Pilsner fridge that is always choca block full of beers.

So yeah no problem with the beer supply over here. Gonna be weird when we move out and have to actually pay for the stuff!

Mark i get home on January 9th I think after spending xmas in the UK. We are definitely keen for the sevens, will try and get tickets ourselves, but I would just try and get as many as you could (as will we), not like you won't be able to find a buyer for them!

 

True, but my brother might be able to get me some freebee's... guess you're point is valid though

 

Hitting Turoa tomorrow, leaving big smoke about 5am, taking gear for sleeping in the mighty hilux in case me and my mate stay the night and board Sat too, fingers crossed we stay but he's going to London on Tue so unlikely.

Can't wait to hit the slopes I'm amping... I'll try take some pics and through them up on the evil F-book.

Off to Mount St Helens camping this weekend. It's a holiday on Monday (long weekend!) so leaving here on Friday arvo and taking the ferry south to Washington. Going to a Seahawks (NFL) game Friday night in Seattle, then driving to the volcano Saturday morning. Hope the weather is good so we can go climb the volcano etc. Might head out to Astoria (where Goonies was filmed!) on Monday if we have time before heading back to Canada

 

Sure is, back in the 80's.

Some action would be nice, I cans till recall when Ruapehu blew it's top in '97, AWESOMENESS

Holy cow.

I have done shots of Absenth, but it even says on the bottle, do not drink neat. Have it with coke or something. Two flatmates and I finished a bottle one night, that was messy. Obviously southerners can' handle their p1$$ haha!

But on a more serious note, the mother watching him die twice in the ambo and once at hospital... not that cool eh!

Bit extreme banned the sale of it in southland though. Knee jerk?

 

Any alcoholic beverage that says "do not drink neat" should not be sold.

 

Absinthe is great love the stuff! have gone through like 5 bottles in the last 2 years maybe? great just to kick things in with a shot or two before heading into town to party!!!
