Does it snow in most places there? Seriously, I dont know. Here in South Australia it has snowed once in the last 30 years that I can remember, and it melted before dawn. We get rain, clouds and wind. Even really still cold nights that seem colder than usual.

    Sure does snow in Dunedin.

Usually once or twice a winter out to the coast. About every 2 -3 years we will get a really big dump that closes everything down for a day.

It can get pretty cold too. Decent frosts down to -6 degrees sometimes. Christchurch can get colder. It's flat and if there is no wind... Brrrr....

We've had about two weeks straight rain in Otago and Canterbury. Flooding, landslips, road closures.

Sounds like winter is miserable there! Mudslides are dangerous!! It's having intermitant downpours today, and one happened as I was taking my son home from his class, and where were my umbrellas? Why in the car of course, so the trip between the hall and the carpark was NOT pleasant. We were drowned rats! By the time we reached home it was dry and clear in our suburb! Weird indeed, one suburb 5 mins away is swimming, and ours is dry!! LOL!

So.... when our inactive topics "lock" and we have no new threads, what happens to the NZ board?

I didn't even get to pay for mine before it got cancelled. I wonder if they had to send any out at that price. There might be a job opening at Fishpond now.

Has anyone actually bought anything from Fishpond? I wouldn't say thier prices are exaclty "competitive" on most of their lines.

Do they just count on people trying their luck at finding bargains?
