Had to reread this...

Oh, I know there's a plot, but apparently Moriah (right?) doesn't think there is, for some reason or another... And, if she's so adamant that there is no plot, then it might be best if she goes back and and edits the fic so that in her view, there is a plot.

But my personal opinion? I like this fic just as it is... It's really a great one and very emotional.

 

New reader! I've read your last few posts, Pariah, but I do hope you'll return to this story soon.

There was a plot in the beginning, but then it sorta started falling apart like melty ice cream and running all over the place. I didn't want to let my readers down, so I kept writing filler scenes instead of the real nitty gritty...

I'm waiting till ROTS comes out to make sure my story gels with it, since so much of what I have planned depends on that...but I've gotten so thoroughly spoiled by now that I think I can get a head start.

Pariah, another new reader here, new to the forum also, though I lurked in the shadows for a long while before joining.

I have really enjoyed your story so far and do wish that I'll get the chance to read more of it. I can understand your not wanting to finish it and can respect that, but I think in time...it should be told.

I hope you find your way towards the plot for the story...even if it's after ROTS, because it would be nice to know that the last two and half hours I've spent reading this full thread wasn't totally lost

Tekli is currently bashing her head on the wall for leaving this site for so long. Bad Tekli. Very very bad Tekli. Excuses? Camp for a month, 2 months of no internet, and in the process, I fell madly in love with other fandoms (Tales of Symphonia, Lord of the Rings, Rurouni Kenshin) and sorta' forgot about Star Wars. Thank the Force for Episode III, or else I probably never would have checked back here.

The 2 posts I missed were... incredible. Really. Luke-torture, and exceptional Luke torture. Really. And in character--for EVERYONE--the entire time. I'd go on, but I'd take up too much space. Needless to say, I was floored in a wonderful, wonderful way.

I understand what you're saying about over-written (is that a word?) prose. Personally, I think yours is fine, merely adding to the emotionally intense mood, but I know where you're coming from. I went through the same thing, where I began reading my old Harry Potter stuff and realizing that all it was was pretty words. Once again, I love your writing and think you have one of the best SW plots I have ever seen, concerning both the plot itself and staying in character, and I hope you continue. But if it doesn't satisfy you... go ahead and keep working at it. Meeting your own standards is what writing is all about, isn't it? Having high standards is wonderful, and if you're not happy with the story, you have every right to work at it until it meets your standards. (I still luff it, though )

*le sigh* No, I haven't forgotten about this fic (and thank you and welcome, mapanggulo ) but I have to admit I nearly barfed with shock when I saw this thread on the main page. O.O

This fic has gotten a whole lot eviler sitting on the back burner...and I'm astonished at how much it's changed. I think the whole beginning of this is going out the window, I'm sad to say. I'd like to make a new thread to have a fresh start, but I'll post the link to this one for any other newbies who care to find out what the old version was like. I don't want to scrap some of this stuff either, but the rewrite will make more sense that way.

I hope you don't disappear again, Tekli! Or am I going to have to kidnap you to make sure?

 

Pariah, just because I'm being a really bad girl with Luke in A Fool's Hope doesn't mean you can be meaner to him in this story. The plot already makes me want to cry and we haven't even seen the fiftieth part of it!

Wow. I just finished reading the whole thing and I have to say this story is very well written. I love the interaction between Anakin and Luke. You captured their characters perfectly! I really enjoyed reading this and I hope you update soon.
