Happy
She could hear the baby crying. "Luke?"
"Hmph" It sounds like the farmboy wouldn't keep up his part of the bargain.
"C'mon Luke, we've been through this."
"Five more minutes."
Sitting up in her bed, Shira stroked the foreign gray strands away, and put her lips near her husband's neck. She opened her lips, "Now!"
Shira has no doubt that the command, to her husband at least, was far louder than she intended. For in the next moment the farmboy did something he wasn't supposed to be able to after all these years.
The baby's crying was simply ignored then.

Sad
"Don't go."
The ship's counsel rang in her ears, her meat ears. For once it didn't feel like the thought came from herself. Lumiya wondered if the ship had intended it that way, or was it something else?
You're not well, your doubts cloud your judgements.
Skywalker's X-Wing was closing.
I'll miss you Ship. Lumiya thought. What do you think of that planet straight ahead? It's a got scenery. I think I like it.
I could outrun him.
"I know."
I'll miss training you.
I know.
Take care of the children for me.
There was silence from the ship.

Curious
"You are in so much trouble!?"
"Mom--"
"Do you have any idea how worried you made me?"
"Amelia was the one who found Faskus, she was the one who made me go! Honest! She said it would be fun!"
Shira held out her hand. "Your TZ-Corder."
A look of horror flashed on Siura's face. "Mom! You can't! My life is on that thing!."
"Not anymore, it's not. The T-Z Corder or your dad knows about everything."
Shira was left alone in the room, hanging on to her daughter's TZ.
"Let's find out what you hold, my little friend."

Angry
She killed her. Mara is gone. Why didn't she kill me first?
That thing was cruising toward that planet. Lumiya must be on it.
Luke contemplated dropping a torpedo. He saw it hit, obliterating the Sith who haunted his dreams. In time he moved the fingers away, his nemesis was back, alive and well inside his crosshairs.
The duel ended quicker both than he expected, and wanted.
With intense satisfaction he let the body fall, the left knee gave out first, toppling the whole torso toward that downward spiral which should have drained away his anger, but didn't.
Luke breathed.

Content
Life was finally settling down, the CIS Navy had the Empire on the run.
"Han! It's good to see you."
After taking his seat beside his friend, Luke asked: "You sounded urgent in your message, what's up"
"Uh, Luke, you kind of invited me here." Han said.
Luke instinctively gripped his lightsaber. "It's a trap!"
"You'll find it a nice one." Someone behind him said.
Luke turned around and stammered. "Mara! Shira! What are you two doing here?"
"Leia has been telling me that you and Han has been really stressed out lately, so consider the two of you ambushed."

Well Well. What do we have here.

I think I will just jump start this set of drabbles.

I mean, I can still be on the Champions List for UDC III, right? Ultimate Drabbles Set 3? What do you say, Fattooine ?

I think they are Luke/Mara Luke/Shira Han/Mara and Han/Leia.

Alternating drabbles with one some set in EU with H/L and L/M and one set in my AU with H/M and L/S.

At least I think it's what it was supposed to work. It's been 10 years.

Hehe. I didn't actually "start" this set of drabbles "now". I just like to give my stories the proper finish. This set of drabbles. Wow. No telling where they would have ended up had I finished in 2008-2009 Fanfic year.
But I hope I am doing justice for these characters and these AUs. (Second Set alsways set in the Legend EU).

Alderaan

“Stand by for sub light.” The pilot slid the the sliders back at the console. The modified shuttle dropped out of hyperspace in a mere seconds. Asteroids surrounded it. Luke held little Amelia’s hands.

“This is where it all began.” Luke told his daughter. The newest member of his new Jedi Order.

Amelia kept on shivering on Luke’s lap. “I don’t like it here. It’s too loud.”

“This was not a good idea.” Shira handed Amelia a bottle of blue milk. The seven years old sipped.

“You are right, but every future Jedi visit Alderaan. It’s a rite of passage.”

Yavin IV

Merdic Maor heard knocking on his door. He slowly stood up from his chair and pressed the button to let the door slide open. His friend Kemria’s hand was mid motion in trying to knock again, the result was her fist hitting Merdic’s chest.

He fake groaned and smiled. Kemria’s presence was welcome.

“Oh quit it, I didn’t hit you that hard.” Kemria grinned, mirroring Merdic’s own expression. “Come on, I found something.”

“I don’t get it, it’s just a snub fighter.”

“It’s not just any snub fighter.” Kemria explained. “Look at the marking.”

“We need to tell Master Fal.”

Bespin

“I’m worried about them Luke.” Shira said simply.

Luke sighed, “What did they do now? Put hot chocolate in Threepio’s oil bath again?”

“I’m serious, Farmboy.”

“I looked over Siura’s TZ Corder.” Shira began. “Something horrible”

Luke interrupted his wife. “You did what?”

Frustration burnt in Shira’s eyes. “She’s communicating with...” Shira gasped, “With Imperials!”

Luke stopped the hovercar.

“She’s communicating, Amelia too, with Imperials. As far as I can tell they found my old codes, and something evil is corrupting our kids.

“What do you mean your old code? What are you talking about?”

“Remember that dogfight near Sallust?”

Hapes

“Luke?”

Luke blinked.

His wife was right in front of him, sitting on his bed.

“It’s time. Get ready.” Mara told him. “The ceremony is in half an hour.”

“I waited for so long.” Luke tried to hug his wife, for a moment they were joined. Occupying the same space.

“The Zels came in and left you this Hapan suit. Don’t wear it. I want to see my farmboy in his Jedi Robe one last time.”

“One last time?” Luke held the blue light’s hand, unwilling to let go.

“Dad? You in here? Allana is already in the great hall.”

Dagobah

Leia tried to speak calmly, but the danger was real, and she was tired. She looked at Han. “We need to fight.”

“We lost all contact with General Grievous.” Crix Madine paced around the holographic map. We need to start the evacuation.”

“I’m sorry, Princess, the Major is right.” Han was getting in Leia’s skins at the most inconvenient times, “Strategically speaking, this swamp world us useless.”

The atmosphere of Dagobah is unstable,” Leia insisted, “we can lure whatever the Empire sends against us and destroy their forces in the sky, provided we stay here until my brother gets here.”

 

Cool glimpses of some riveting AUs! I'd love to read the short story or epic of any of them.

 

Thanks for the explanation and a new set of wonderful drabbles.

I especially like the fact that Dagobah´s mist and its swamp monsters would win against everything out there.

[h2]Week 3[/h2]
On the Fly

“What are we supposed to do?”

“According to this manual,” Shira said, “First put the strings onto this round thing. Twist it up and line it. The last step is to put on the bait. Usually something called a gorn or flaugh.”

Gorn? Isn’t that human food?

“Well, apparently the fishes like them too.”

“Shira?” Luke looked at his fiancee. “I think we been had. How much credit did you give that rodian?”

“I don’t think so. Anyway, to enjoy the authentic Dogitem fish dish, you need to catch the fish yourself. We’ll try the concept with this fly first.”

Sink or Swim

Ship came back. Without Mother.

Ship always came back with Mother.

Before Brisha knew it, Ship also left, and didn’t come back.

Now it was all up to Brisha to finish what Mother began.

The five months Brisha used to build a new vehicle were the worst. Their hut was destroyed by the Big One. The sink is the only thing they were able to recover from their home.

Brisha smiled as she gave her sister another injection of the spice.

The supply was running low. But it doesn’t matter.

“Boat?”

Yes, Mistress Brisha?”

“It’s time to swim the stars.”

Rock The Boat

Luke absently rocked the boat shaped crib.

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost ten years after Endor.

Everything is perfect.

How did he ever convince someone like Shira to share life with him?

First Amelia, and now Siura.

He’s the luckiest man in the galaxy.

The door chimed.

Luke sighed. At least the interruption came when Siura was asleep. He calmed Siura with the Force, and felt a gentle hug back. He went out into the corridor.

“Callista? What’s up?”

The blonde Jedi Knight looked worried. “Sorry for the interruption, but the outpost on Belkadan, ExGal-4, just went dark.”

Get Over It

“Then the rodian said there is nothing he could do.”

“Right.” Mara said dryly. “He was ready to cheat me. And you know what’s the scum didn’t tell us?”

“What?” Han asked, taking another sip of the Corellian brandy.

“There’s no such thing as a Dogtime fish dish.” Luke and Mara said in sync. “There isn’t even a Dogtime fish!”

“Well, of course, we didn’t know it that time. But we got over it, didn’t we, farmboy?”

Luke smiled. “Hey, anyone want more of the Barghord steak? To truly enjoy it, Mara and I had to hunt our own Barghord.”

Under The Gun

“I told you it was a bad idea.” Han said.

“Why didn’t you say so before?” Luke asked.

“I did say so-- Wait. Hold up.”

What is it? We have to go. We need to meet the viceroy and upgrade his droid commander--”

“Quiet. Something is wrong. I feel like...

“Welcome aboard Under The Gun, gentlemen. Welcome.”

“Chancellor Palpatine. You are alive.” Han said, awed. “We heard...”

“Of course I’m alive. I’m also the Sith Lord everyone’s been looking for.”

“What?” Luke said, but...”

“Why tell us?” Han asked. “Why now?”

“Oh, I’m afraid you won’t be leaving alive.”

Bantha

Amelia held her blade downward at a forty five degrees to her body. The Vong squinted her eyes. She threw the thud bug. The brunette Jedi was ready and sliced the projectile before it could bite into her shoulder. The Vong cursed in her guttural language, but Amelia wasn’t interested in any linguistic lessons. She used the Force to throw everything in the room, including the stuffed Bantha Kal gave her for their anniversary, in a whirlwind toward the tattooed face. The Vong snarled as the amphistaff in her hand became a snake, which opened its venomous mouth toward Amelia.

Dewback

Master Fal examined the vehicle in front of her. “Curious.”

The marking on the snub fighter was in the Sith language. That fact was unmistakable. Yet that was not the only strange thing about it. Stretching out with the Force, Kadoria Fal knew the dewback shaped ship was alive, just like the grass around her was full of vitality.

Will you help?

Fal stumbled. She would have fell if Merdic didn’t put his hands on her back.

She needs help.

“Who are you?” Fal’s apprentice asked aloud. So he heard it too.

My name is Boat. Get Cilghal. Syo. Spice.

Eopie

The search for Shira finally ended after more than five months. Luke Skywalker sent almost half of the Jedi Order to search for her. In the end it was him that found her at the last place Luke thought possible for her to be. She was in a cantina on Tatooine called the Eopie.

“Why?”

Green eyes burned into blue ones. “Why what?”

Luke reached for the hand of his, wife? He sighed.

“We found Siura.” Luke whispered, “Amelia is still out there.”

“Come back home. Please.”

“For Siura’s sake. She needs her mother. Tekli doesn’t think she has long.”

Tauntaun

“Your Tauntaun will freeze before you reach first marker!”

“Then I’ll see you in HELL” The Actor, Merg Norpo, managed a heroic pose.

“Did you really say that?” Mara asked her brother in law.

Han managed to look sheepish. The scoundrel smirked, “Maybe I did. I had to save Junior here.”

“Right.” Luke said drily. “Thanks.”

“Hey, it’s not my fault you had to run into a Wampa on your way to check out a meteor. I remember telling you there was nothing on that rock.”

“Some day you’ll tell me the whole story,” Mara turned to kiss the Farmboy.

Wampa

“Report.” The Far Outsider told Kinman Doriana.

“I serve the Praetorite Vong. I found the perfect Jedi hunter for you.” Kinman said, “Observe.”

After the presentation, the vilip looked impressed, Kinman decided.

“These creatures, Wang Bas, can hunt in the cold?” The vilip asked.

Wampas, Doriana thought, you idiot, “Yes. They are native to Hoth. According to my records, one of the species managed to injure Organa significantly when the Rebellion had its Base on the planet. That is why half of her face is missing.”

“Good.” The vilip said, “We want at least fifty, transport them to these coordinates.”

 

Eopie -- interesting that Luke has to hunt down Shira and urge her to return because of a different reason than "I miss you." Tauntaun seems like they're watching overly dramatic versions of their adventures.

Bantha and Wampa -- great NJO AUs.

So here's the set up again.

First Prompt: Luke and Siura are married, have kids Amelia and Siura, they are all Jedi.
Second Prompt: Luke and Mara are married, Legend EU up to end of LOTF. Lumiya was a single parent for sisters Brisha and Syo. Now all Brisha wants is to have revenge.
Third Prompt: Luke and Shira are married. Someone have been trying to corrupt the Skywalker kids. They succeeded with Amelia and she may have fatally hurt her sister Siura. I'm thinking of throwing a dice again.
Fourth Prompt: Legend EU all the way. Legend compliant.
Fifth Prompt: CIS!Rebellion instead of NR!Rebellion.

Wood

“You can open your eyes now.” Bren said.

Amelia opened her eyes slowly. She blinked to focus her vision.

Could this actually be-- “Is this real Ithorian Yrongl wood?”

Amelia dropped her fiance, no her husband’s hands and run across the threshold. She caressed every single piece of furniture in turn.

“Yeah, everyone chipped in, including your parents.” Bren managed to look embarrassed.

Mists suddenly clouded Amelia’s eyes.

“Don’t you like them?” Bren looked worried.

“I just-- I’m not sure I deserve them. So many of our friends, dead because of me.”

“You know that’s not true.” Bren hugged her.

Metal

Raw, metallic tang was all Shira could smell.

She’s also drowning. But she cannot open her mouth to gasp for air.

She welcomed the deep blue sea that enveloped her eventually.

The next time she woke up, her vision was gone, but she could hear.

She could hear the filtered breathing. It’s coming closer all the time.

She knew it was Lord Vader.

“My Lord, I failed.”

“Not quite.” The Dark Lord’s deep voice said. “You may still be some use to me. Daughter.”

“Droid.”

“Yes, my Lord?”

“Make sure to bring the twins every five hours to their mother.”

Cloth

Amelia turned around and sashayed. “Well? Is this one better?”

“It’s better.” Her mother said.

“That’s what you said for the last four dresses!” Amelia fumed. “Are you even looking? The ball is my only chance to make Bren Korm notice me! That Jysella Horn--”

“Mother? What is it?”

Her mother snapped out of whatever fugue she was in.

“Amy, you are all grown up, a young woman, and a Jedi.” Her mother said, “But you know you can still talk to me, you know that, right?”

Amelia barely masked her sudden anger. “How much did Siura tell you?”

Glass

Meet me for lunch, farmboy. Kroomdoor. 1230.

He took off the Jedi Robe and put on a Tatooine shirt and pants. The Kroomdoor caters authentic Tatooine food, and encourages patrons to wear local attire.

Ten minutes later, Luke brought down his speeder and parked it near the Restaurant entrance.

The themed restaurant was constructed entirely with transparent glass, supposedly imported from Mos Espa Plant Aurek. Luke didn’t have the heart to tell the vibrant restaurant’s patrons there was no Mos Espa Plant Aurek.

He knew they were after the food, and company.

He found Mara sitting at their usual booth.

Stone

Before Karrde could have an opportunity to object, Mara slid down the ladder with the ancient gravity sled, headed for engineering.

The gravity sled failed halfway. It took her almost half an hour to pry open access to weapon control section. A second to see Chin slumped on the ruined ion control console, stone dead.

“Karrde! Chin is dead.”

“I’m cancelling the shipment. Your husband just need to hold on a little longer.”

“Damn you Karrde! Han saved your life! Now you can’t bother to run a simple blockade?”

The Wild Karrde jumped into hyperspace. Mara’s mouth exploded with expletives.
