Lucas may not direct Episode III?

    It's one thing to consider Kershner for ep.III since he did a good job with the other dark film in the saga, ESB. But let's leave Speilberg out of this. No matter how great you think he is, he would ruin ep.III. He loves happy endings, and we all know this is not a happy ending film. Speilberg is to goody-two-shoes for this movie, Lucas on the other hand, may be campy, but he will finish his movie the way it should be done.

    You'll want to check out stuff like Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, Amistad and a few other Spielberg things to check on the happy endings statement...

    I agree with what Drebin said. Star Wars is intended to be what it is. Like Hayden stated, he would watch TPM every weekend while shooting AOTC, just to keep his head in the SW way of speaking. Imo, it's very valid to structure things in the prequel era as being very strict and tight and formal. Jedi Knights and politicians? Definitely not the kind to run around and wisecrack like Han Solo. If they did, it would actually take a lot away from characters like Han and Lando, imo.
