So I read the story on the cover page of TFN and it says that Lucas will let someone else do the SW TV show.

Not sure when in the OT I will base it, but I will keep you updated

 

is it gonna be animated or live action?

 

I thought i heard a rumor that the tv series was goin to be about the rivalry between han and boba fett in their youth





perhaps im just making it up, but i thought i heard that rumor





RJ88 should direct the series though

 

1st episode tour of my house and everything that's wrong w/ all the hasbro toys. Ohh wait that could be series in itself.... this is gonna be harder than I thought.

WOW I would totally watch that!!!!!

 

It's a live action show supposedly set between Ep 3 & 4. The big things are supposedly showing why Vader is so feared and the life of Boba. That's what I've heard.

 

Ooh. They should give it to the guy who does Smallville.

 

One way or another Spielberg is going to be involved.

 

I'm not sure if I'd rather have a toon or live show.
Toon may be cheaper with no spfx, but might be a hard sell for prime time. It's also got the added advantage of being able to use any characters they want regardless of the actor's age
Live would be an easier sell, but would have added cost of spfx.
Who knows? I'll just be happy if it gets done well.

 

I would rather have cartoons, only because I can only imagine who they would cast for these tv shows.

 

I hope that the cartoons continue beyond the third season of the Clone Wars series. The folks over at CN have done a great job and I would like to see them continue their work. Imagine seeing the story of Vader leading the armies of the Empire while developing his powers as a Sith, post Episode 3, as an animated show?

 

I COMPLETELY agree Outcast. That would be a great idea. But keep it animated. I've loved the Clone Wars so far so they should stick to what works.

 

i hope its nothing like that Tv series spielberg directed a few years ago about aliens invading the world

I can see a live action TV Show, and I can actually see it work, IF they listen to the fan base, and can make things fit the continuity,

seeing the Rise of the Empire would be great! and you can have Vader show up the same way Q was handled on ST:TNG Very rarely, and well written.

 

So, who would you cast for this show? Tough. There's not a lot of talent out there now. There's too many teen angst dramas out there now and if you think about it, they aren't talented enough for this type of show.

 

Someone in another thread brought up doing a KOTOR era series which would also be good. Then they don't have to worry about continuity much.

 

The Mandalorian Wars would make a good storyline. Then lead that into the KOTOR storyline and you've got at least two or three seasons worth of material there.

 

ANN-EE-MAESH-UN!! That's the only way it should be.

 

I like the Mandalorian sotry idea too. Maybe something from the Jango Fett: Open Seasons series.

As always: I hope its done right. Maybe get the writer from Clone wars Cartoon series to do the script
