Well, that's frustrating. It could have been epic.

 

That's a bummer about the Maul game... anybody on here play that TMNT game? I grew up with the Ninja Turtles so I'm kind of curious about it. Although I have a PS3 and I don't think it's on the PS3.

 

i've heard the tmnt game is bad. really wanted this game though.

It looks like it took place after Episode I because Maul has robot legs.

Apparently Game Informer's May issue will have an article on what this game would have been.

 

Really cool concept art, but regardless of that and the obvious dark tone this game would've had (and I like darker stories), I am glad it got cancelled. Call it a gut feeling if you will, but I don't think it would've been a good game. Again, just a gut feeling...

 

Meh. Looks like it was just a reskinned Force Unleashed. No great loss.

 

Yay. Another game I would want to play that is never coming out (unsurprisingly every game that fits into this category is Star Wars).

 

This is a great example of what was wrong with Lucasarts and why it was probably going to shut down even before the Disney buy out.

According to Eurogamer Red Fly, having been working for a couple of years on a Darth Maul game under the employment of Lucasarts, were left completely in the dark by Lucasfilm's plan to bring Darth Maul back in The Clone Wars, with George Lucas stepping in and demanding changes to the game so late in the dev-cycle that it left the entire development team confused about the direction of their project, much like what we were told had happened with 1313.

The upper management at Lucasarts sounds like it was an utter shambles.

 

Here's hoping EA revive some of their ideas since they seem decent & obviously had some development

 

Would a Darth Maul game really be justified now? I mean it's been years since Phantom Menace came out. I know they resurrected him for the Clone Wars cartoon, but usually a character's appearance in a cartoon isn't enough to warrant centering a game around him. If Maul had appeared in a recent movie (however lame I think that would me) then that might justify making such a game.

 

so if they want to make a darth vader game they can't because he hasn't been in a recent film?? i seem to recall vader in tons of games.

 

If the additional details in that article are true, just how insane is George Lucas? Granted I don't think I've ever read anything that defines the lifespan of a Zabrak but how the heck would Maul be alive long enough to team up with Darth Talon? And what exactly was he doing in all the years between, just chilling out somewhere? ;P

Yes, they did. Game was canceled because they bought LucasFilm and they got rid of LucasArts.

 

no. not at all. it's even talked about in this topic. ACTUALLY IT'S IN THE POST RIGHT ABOVE YOURS. these games were all shut down before the disney deal.
