Seems like a couple of months ago I read somewhere Lucas was going to add a division to his company to make animated films.

After seeing the success of Disney, Dreamworks and Pixar in the last few years,
sounds like Lucas may want a piece of the animation pie. Films like SHREK, FINDING NEMO and THE LION KING have made fortunes.

If Lucas made animated movies, what would they be like? Given the fact that Lucas is Mr. Technology, I assume they would be along with lines of what Pixar does with computer generation, as opposed to traditional cel animation.

This is an intrigueing possibility. It could open up a whole new vista for the
Lucas empire. And the fact that Lucas has authorized someone to make a series of shorts on the Clone Wars for the Cartoon Network would seem to indicate an increasing interest on Lucas's part these days in animation.

Pixar itself was initially an ILM offshoot that Lucas sold. Anyway, please check out our existing thread on LucasFilm Animation. :)
