I like Luke Skywalker He's my favorite Star Wars character! Can I play?

 

I don't follow the EU much, mostly because it seems to me they push the new characters they create over the older Lucas characters.
I do like some of the Tales from Mos Eisley Cantina, though.

Hi mistryl! I read most of the EU stuff, and I'm actually pretty disappointed with the way Luke's portrayed. I know he's supposed to be calm and have a quiet demeanor, but I want him to have some umph! Go luke!

You're right! Some of the new books are not just promoting excesively new caracters over the old ones, but also treating Luke in a way we can even call 'infamous'... I've been informed by some of the members of the SOS Luke thread in Literature, and, right now, I'm reading the trilogy they consider that treats him the worse:The New Jedi Order, where Luke's figure is almost replaced by Jacen Solo (son of Han and Leia)


BTW, welcome to the Lukesters side, Elori!!

 

I don't like the way Jacen is made to look better, or at least more heroic, than Luke. I don't even CARE about Jacen...

Hmm..our roster names have to be more LUKE-defining--well, mine have to be...

 

I like Wormie...I wish that whole scene was put in ANH it is great background for Luke's character, to show what a nerd he was...And he became someone so awesome <<sigh>> All men should be able to do 2 story backflips and levitate heavy objects off the ground...and not even break a sweat...though sweat is good

On the one hand, I like how EU-Luke has become so powerful, and re-created the Order of the Jedi.

On the other hand, he definitely needs to be a bit more pro-active. I like his clashes with Kyp, but he needs to do a bit more. At the moment, I've read all the books set after ROTJ up to Destiny's Way (need to get that one soon).

 

OK: I'll vote for 'Kid' and 'Lukester'...
Thought I like the others... No, decisions have been done. There goes my vote.
