Luke to be more of a VAder?

ok i was lookin at an old draginb by ralph mcquarrie and it shows vader and luke fighting in bespin..but what i noticed was that luke was wearing a mask..like vaders that only c overed his face!

 

The keyword in there is old. I think I know what picture your talking about. I think that George and Ralph were still getting a feel for the space concept, and you more than likely saw a breathing mask, kind of what we see in ESB.

Are you referring to this picture and/or this picture? If so, that was done for ANH, not TESB. It was done in the early stages of development for the film, before the script was finalized. Obviously, that scene never made it to production.

Yea. Those pics are old. Originally everyone was going to wear masks when they went out in space to breathe. Originally Vader only wore the mask to breathe where oxygen wasn't available.
