we all know C'boath used Lukes hand to make a clone, why didnt he take over Tantiss (we all know he could have) and make an army of like 10,000 lukes? with obediance programmed in we wouldnt have the Sith rule of 2 to worry about they couldnt fight, im sure they could of taken over the New Republic with 10,000 Luke skilled Dark Jedi right?

i don't think that they had the ability to program traits with the spaarti cylinders alone... so there might not be that 'programmed obedience' -- making an army might be more than Joruus could handle training... plus he'd have to get lightsabers for them all...

What he could have done was trained one, then flashmemed the said training into all of them.

However, Luuke was an exception and created only through Pellaeon's orders. Though C'baoth was mentally in control of many of the clones on Tantiss, he did not actually control the cloning process.

By the Time C'boath had control over the luke clone, I don't think they would have had enough time to make that many clones.

When they first met, C'boath told Thrawn that he didn't care about power in the form of dominating worlds or large groups of people. All he ever wanted was a handful of Jedi students to train (Luke, Leia, the twins, and maybe Mara), not an army of them. Beside, what would he have done with an army? As I said, he had no interest in conquest.

"Then he is lying. All men want power."

Recall that C'baoth wanted Thrawn to acknowledge him as a superior. As a new Emperor, even.

That's hardly a lack of interest in power.

But it's a different kind of power that he wanted. The idea of ruling over countless people who he would never see didn't appeal to him. C'boath wanted a more personal kind of power. He wanted disciples.

No he wanted puppets. While he'd have let some of his underlings maintain some autonomy, Joruus, from what I infer from the texts, wanted literally to dominate minds and shape them to his design. He did it with the Tantiss clones, he did it with poor Covell, and he'd have done it to Luke, Leia, and the twins as well, had he the chance.

C´Baoth couldn´t influence the Tantiss-clones because of the Ysalamiri.

Only when the already influenced Covell ordered his troops to distribute explosives and those were activated could C´Baoth use the force again.
