    Optional?

    Even so, I still don't see the purpose in WotC accomodating a canonically false ideology through an optional ruling.

    It's not something WEG would ever do.

    WEG would never write a Dark Side Sourcebook to allow for an "evil" campaign either, but there it is.

    The optional rule could very well be considered to be for use with the Dark Side Sourcebook only... ;)
