In SWTOR, the Sith Inquisitor had a power called Force-walking - you could bound spirits to yourself.

Sith alchemy would be an interesting explanation and a cool storyline to continue, I just don't think its that complicated, nor do I think the Inquisitor is necessarily capable of that. In recent media, only Sidious and Talzin had that depth of knowledge of the darkside. I'd be surprised if they gave the Inquisitor that ability, when Vader doesn't even have it. We need an explanation from Filoni though - that's for certain.

    OMG Kablob

Just seen it. The Inquisitor said "her bones prove of use to the Empire". That means we're talking Force walk or Sith Alchemy; the fact Luminara wasn't in her coffin, until she disappeared, meant the Inquisitor might have raised her from the dead (!!)

It also may have been some holographic trick.

    It could be but...

Kanan senses her presence. You can't do that with a hologram.

It did seem like a hologram with the distortion and sound effects.

Just a baffling and confusing scene. Hope they explain later.

I think it is a hologram and Kanans senses are a little off.

Maybe. But it could also be Sith Alchemy. The sense thing doesn't go away for most Jedi. Her presence is still in that cell. It's creepy.

I definitely don't think they kept her body around just for the creep factor. Kanan sensed her as being alive, there is something going on there.

Yes yes I see what you mean and it could quite possibly be
with Alchemy but there is always to sides to a coin as they say

All I hope is that they explain whatever happened or else it will be a random plot hole.

It will be explained at some point, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was in a book or something rather than the show itself.

So, is it safe to assume...

That Luminara has been dead since order 66 or a few years after it?

I am pretty sure she did not
die during order 66 but a little after

Another thing we should think about is the Jedi practice of cremation. Maybe it isn't purely ceremonial, but instead serves the function of fully separating a force-users "soul" from their remains. It is possible that Kanan could sense Luminara simply because her corpse is well preserved.

I'm still basically in the camp that says there is some sort of force alchemy at work here. However, it does look like there is some 'distortion' when she walks back into her coffin, which might indicate a hologram. So I don't think we can draw a definitive conclusion.

I think he was sensing her remains. Some Jedi can even sense the presence of someone who was merely in the same room at an earlier time - its not a leap to be able to sense a force sensitive corpse, which may have some lingering force energy.

It's Quinlan Vos's thing. I don't think Kanan was engaging in some latent psychometry there, though - he sensed her from halfway across the prison. However much her presence is lingering is sure more than is natural.

Oh. Still, I hope we get some answers soon on Luminara. I just want to know how she ended up getting captured and why the sith decided to use her out of thousands of other Jedi.

The one reason why I am ruling out hologram is because when Luminara goes back to the coffin, she closes her eyes and lights up her corpse. No damn hologram can do that. It was like she was returning to her body and bringing her soul with her. Kind of like when you're dreaming and you see yourself in the dream, but for Luminara this isn't some dream, it is reality.
