I am so excited!!! Gwendoline Christie is so awesome and hilarious and I love her. I could not be more happy about this!!!!

I hate to be the negative one (but someone has too), the Game of Thrones girl casting bothers me. GoT is too trendy for me. For the most part I like the casting so far because the actors were relatively unknown from semi-popular shows. I think the GoT grab was to sucker in their fan base. Just me. And probably since I'm not a GoT watcher.

 

The whole complaint about there being a lack of diversity was stupid to begin with. A writer/director has a creative vision let them decide how they want to achieve that vision. Having said that, it's cool they were cast as they are both great additions.

 

Changed the tag to Official Info, since it is.

That is almost exactly what I said out loud when I saw, lol.



I'm excited they cast more women in general, (I always figured/hoped they would) and another person of color. I don't really know Gwendoline Christie as I have yet to watch GoT, but I love Lupita.

 

Again, I apologize to Maisie for stalking her as much as I did.

 

Right... cause they rewrote the entire script in a few weeks just for two more female roles then failed somehow to make them both minorities.

The only thing the producers admitted they did wrong by leaking more female roles was that they didn't reveal them with the rest of them, and mostly if you recall they only rushed the casting announcements since word of the first table read leaked meaning they couldn't keep the cast a secret.

 

I'm not sure, I don't think Lupita is that much older, but she could easily play younger.

 

Perhaps they were't needed for the Dubai shoot. It's June and PP should commence soon in venerable Pinewood. Some great news about the film today.

 

Everyone should be happy that the politically correct quota in now filled. I mean who cares if the film is good, just as long as the diversity quota is filled...

 

One amazing cast for sure. JJ sure knows how to cast for movies.

I dont know why everyone is screaming for Ventress. Didnt Anakin kill her in the original clone wars cartoon? Even if not she is a clone wars era villain. Shes either dead or way too old to fight. Do yall really not want to see a brand new evil character brought to life and instead settle for 0 creativity on JJ's part?

 

I literally screamed. I love both of these actress's work. This is the best news we could of gotten for Episode 7 today.

 

I was wondering when a Game of Thrones actor would end up in Star Wars.

 

How great is this day? First the leaked pictures. Now this news. Made my case of the Mondays so much better.
