Lyrics Discussion

This is athread where we can all get together and discuss lyrics to our favorite songs. We will contemplate things such the meaning of the lyrics, any situations in our lives they may apply to at that point, and what we believe may have influenced the artist to write them. Here are the rules (subject to MY later change):

-Obey all typical TOS. (duh)
-All lyrics must be posted by me. If you have a song you would like to be discussed, send me the name of the song and the artist via PM and I will decide upon whether or not to post them.
-Please remember that this is NOT a random speaking thread. Keep all OOC chatting in the LaGrange Social Forum and PMs.

I rather like disturbed...Stricken, Land of Confusion, and Down with the Sickness are 3 of my favorite songs.

Its ALRIGHT...I mean I'm all for alternative rock, I just don't really like metal and/or rap... But seriously, what's up with the whole choking thing going on in a bunch of their songs?

You don't have to hear a song to have an opinion on its lyrical value. That's what this discussion is about: poetry and its effects/inspirations. Things like that. Please dig deeper. Read the lyrics and respond to them... rather than "this band is mfghjbgj." Discuss the poetry whether you like the band or not.

I'm not asking you to judge it... or even to think of it as music. What I want is for you guys to look on this stuff as poetry and discuss it as thus. I know you people have an intellectual side. Let's see it.
