Back for a limited time at your friendly St. Louis Forum - Gateway to the FanForce!

How does it work? It's simple.

One person chooses a few quotes from any of our four favorite movies (Star Wars Episodes I, IV, V, and VI) and removes a few key words.

Next this person will ask us to supply replacement words. You may be asked to supply one or more nouns, verbs, or adjectives. Perhaps the name of a person, or a place.

You post a response here listing words you have chosen.

After a certain number of responses have been received, or whenever the "dealer" is ready, they will reveal the original quotes. Then they will show the new quotes obtained by substituting the different responses we have posted. The results are always interesting, and often hilarious.

Sorry for the wait folks! I left the original quotes at work, and was too busy spending time with my newly returned husband (gone NINE days on business trip) to want to stop by here to pick them up.

One thing about the long time frame, we had a LOT of participants! Yeah!

OK. Original quotes, all from Ep IV, one from each of the major characters, except Chewie and R2, whose speech I don't pretend to understand, although the meaning is usually clear.

Speaking of pears...
What is up with them? I bring a perfectly good pear in to work on Friday. A half hour later I pull it out of my bag and it is brown and gross and there is mold at the base. Today, same thing. Why does this happen? Is it like a banana where they ripen super fast in a bag or is it from coming to a near frozen state while going to work?

 

Ah, those are great, Steph!
But, I don't know if I can help you with the fruit problem, BobaFemme. I've noticed the same thing. That's maybe their way of bio-degrading and become part of the "earth".

 

Well Femme, as best that I can tell, I think the pear issue is because of the change in temperature from warm in your car to cold and back to warm again. Pears ripen faster at room temperature, and cold temps will slow down the ripening process. Pears also ripen from the inside out, as opposed to other fruits. So I'm guessing the temperature fluctuactions are causing your pear issues. Hey, did you know the pear is part of the rose family? Gotta love the net.
