Jedi / Light Side Mace Windu Buckle

I am looking to do a Mace Windu belt and was wondering if anyone had any ideas where I could get the buckle or something similar in nature.

Hmm, I've never seen a buckle exactly like that before. No wonder you're asking for help finding one.

Yeah this one is a tough one. Funny thing is that I was at the same hotel as the Rose Parade Mace and we even chatted during one of the shuttle trips and I never thought to ask him.

 

I know the Rose Parade Mace VERY well(I made his costume) and we are still searching for the exact Mace buckle. The one he has on his very close belt is not 100% accurate but the best his leathermaker could find. I have had a good friend searching for years for this buckle with no luck. If you find on, I would love to know about it.

 

Its not the Anakin buckle? Looks a lot like it, just not as shiny, something a bit of steel wool or fine sandpaper can fix pretty quickly.

 

well i made my new belt and got a brass plated metal side release buckle.
since you dont see it viewed from the sides but just straight on, it very well looks to me like a regular military web belts buckle.

those have the lil knob thing you see sticking out the sides just like the pic shows.

im betting that it, just modified a lil, and paionted possibly.

i use these kind of belts all the time, and it sure looks like it to me.

 

No, it's actually larger and shaped a little differently than the Anakin buckle. And truly, I know someone who can source most SW costume parts and even he had not found this buckle yet, and we have been looking for at least 3 years now.

 

Darn you George Lucas!!! Guess I am going to have to improvise and say close enough until I find something.

Jedi_Ranger, that is not bad but it is not thick enough for 100% accuracy but def "close enough" to pass for the buckle. I would say probably the nickel one is good.

I spent most of last summer looking for metal buckles, both Jedi-like, and other side-release styles. I have about 12 bookmarked pages now for various cool/rare buckles.

 

You could just cheat and go with his TPM belt and buckle. Since it's just a lot simpler. Brown leather strip, square buckle.
