I haven't seen Clone Wars, yet!

So, does Mace have any kind of role worthy of his wonderful character?

 

He's hardly in it

 

They made him really scrawny looking in the movie.

 

It sorta relfects what he looks like in the Cartoon Network Clone Wars

Well it's really about Anakin and Ahsoka, so it isn't surprising.

 

And we're not really talking about Mace all that much.

 

No we're not, we did have the challenge though and a lot of good fics.

 

Yeah. I failed to be inspired, though.

 

We can speculate though, like about Mace when he was younger.

 

True. He's always struck me as being a trouble maker. So has Obi-Wan, but he's not important.

I can see him leading his childhood buddy astray.

 

He does look like the type

 

it would be interesting to see a fic that explores Mace's childhood and training. In my AU, I have T'ra Saa set up as Mace's mentor.

 

I've always wondered what made Yoda so violent. I've been thinking of writing a fic where Mace and Qui-Gon are responsible.

Hmm. I've never thought of T'ra Saa being his mentor. It would be an interesting combination, but I'd have to say, someone more into the warrior side of being a Jedi would be more suited, in my opinion.

I'll give you he's a trickster and mischievious, but violent, really?

In Shatterpoint Mace remembers his first memory, when he was a baby and Yoda gave him a rattle.

 

I remember that. That book was surprisingly funny.

Yes, Yoda is violent. He's always hitting peoples with his gimmer stick!

 

He does that to knock sense into people

 

Yeah, sometimes people need a little green dude bopping them upside the head to get their attention when they're being stupid.

Now, back to tall dark and handsome... um... actually I can't think of anything to say about Mace right now, but since he's the subject of this thread I thought I should give him a nod and wink.

 

I still maintain that Yoda's violent.

But, as you said, back to tall dark and handsome. What pairings have you seen/written for him?

I don't know of any cannon characters I would pair with Mace, but I do have an idea of how I would characterize Mace's relationship with that person. I imagine Mace's relationship with his significant other being very subtle and very quiet, a relationship where all of the deeper, more intense emotions are mutually understood but remain unspoken.

 

What about someone who could match him barb for barb, wit for wit, like Niobe in the matrix films?

Katana, I have no idea what you mean. I've never seen the Matrix. But you were right about his part in Clone Wars.
