Mace Windu in Episode II

I'm looking forward to when Obiwan and Mace are back to back fighting, that will be so cool Those guys know who to hang with when the going gets tough

Yeah, Obi-Wan is hiding behind Mace. Sure. The guy that has done all the work up to this point in the film is suddenly an incompetant coward. When Mace get's off his arse and actually does something useful - like, I dunno...KILL A SITH LORD - let me know.

I will attempt to explain this one last time: if Mace kills Jango quickly, it's thanks to the editor. As for the Obi-Wan/Jango and Slave1 fight, there is a difference between being cleared to kill and trying to take a someone alive.

Furthermore, Mace is not the hero of the trilogy. He is a secondary character, and no amount of fanboy swooning is going to change that.

Gillian Keady your taking it to seriously I dont think anyone in here considers ObiWan a second rate fighter, but its a Mace thread, so people will rave about him more.

Ok dont say that Obiwan survives the Arena so he has to be in the top 10 Jedi that go to Geonosis, and he beats 2 Sith Lords (Maul, and we pressume Anakin).

 

The only reason why Obi-wan survives the Arena is cause he sticks close to Mace! Yeah slicing Maul was cute, but Mace was a Jedi when Obiwan was still in diapers (or whatever they wear wherever he comes from).

No doubt Obi-wan rocks but Mace is da Man dude! We ALL know who would "survive" a head-to-head between da two!

i like Obi but he would last less then 2 minutes against Mace 1 on 1.......

Obi is no coward obviously but can't compare to the Power Mace has.

I think that was just as much a compliment to Mace and Yoda as it was to his master

 

Well we all know Anakin was flawed from da beginning. And that quote is obviously false cause Obi-wan says himself that he thought he could do as good a job as Yoda but FAILED! Hello!

BTW, if Obi-wan was so wise and powerful why did Anakin cut him down like yesterday's pork chop?

Obi was washed up in ANH...

 

Perhaps you didnt see ANH but he sacrificed himself, Vader didnt really "win". ObiWan goes toe to toe with a Sith in Eps 1,2,3,4 and only dies when he lets the enemy win. But, Mace would beat him in a duel.

 

My point was that if Anakin thought so highly of Obi-wan he wouldnt have wipped him out the way he did in ANH. And they both knew that Obi-wan was washed out by then.

Any way you cut it Obi-wan is just another punk next to Mace.... but then who wouldn't be?

So far all da reviews both good and bad have nothing but praise for Jackson. Way to go Sammy!!

ya it's sweet how most reviews either Sam is good or that he's better than most in the movie..

And Obi did sacrifice but Vader would have won the duel .

 

I love the fact that the audience applauded and raved during Mace's action scenes...the wait for May 16 is almost unbearable now

 

ya that's a good sign that i will love this movie !
