(1) Mace kills Jango Fett in like 5 seconds- the SAME Jango Fett that almost killed Obi-wan and had him running and squealin like a school-girl!

(2) Obi-wan did not "beat" Maul, the guy just got cocky and didnt expect Obi-wan to come up with a saber. If you were paying attention before, Maul was handedly kicking Obi-wan's ass all over the place!

(3) Obi-wan "made" it (barely) to ANH cause he slithered like a little lizard into da desert when things got too hot with da Jedi purge! Mace on the other hand took it like the MAN he is and YOU CAN BE ASSURED DID NOT GO OUT LIKE SOME PUNK!!!!!!

And lets face it, MACE is the baddest, but Obi-Wan is chosen (by the force) to be perhaps the ULTIMATE JEDI. Think about it...Obi-Wan is around through everything! And unlike "the chosen one", Obi-Wan stayed true to form and never went to the dark side!! And he was 'coincedentally' involved in every major hapenning in the SW universe! He's so powerful in the force, that he can retain his identity unlike any other Jedi before him! Whether it's by HIS will, or the will of the force, Obi Wans crucial importance to SW cannot be denied. He is truly the ULTIMATE JEDI.

The man is on the Jedi Council, a group of 12 or something, out 10,000! Besides kick a$$ fight scenes in EPII that should be enough. 12 selected out of 10,000, he has to be pretty ****** elite to get that......
