Who was mace's master, was it yoda or another jedi ?

 

Yoda was the Master of Many.

 

JSat: You wouldnt happen to know how many? Just curious.

 

I think it was another master. But I will go look. I don't know who it is, but I know it isn't yoda.

 

Even if Yoda wasn't his direct master, he probably still trained him as a youngling. So you can get away with saying he was (kind of like Obi-Wan, and Dooku).

I think it couldn't have been Yoda but Yoda raised lots of padawans

 

Mace refers only to Yoda's teachings in Shatterpoint.

And wasn't it Yoda who trained Dooku? So it's not like Yoda never took any official apprentices.

 

Yeah, yoda trained Dooku. But I don't think he trained Windu...Yoda wouldn't have sent him on a mission to Haraakun...it was someone else I'm sure...

 

Actually, Count Dooku was trained by Jedi Master Thame Cerulian...as well as Yoda.

I don't think Windu's Master has ever been named, though I may be mistaken.

yeah it said somewhere that yoda trained single padawans for hundreds of years but began training the bear clan and stopping single training i think.

True. I think it was something like Cerulian died and then Yoda took Dooku as his apprentice, because he noticed that Dooku tended to drift towards the dark side and had studied some Sith holocrons in the Jedi Library
