I had a question, I've been making hardware sabers for
about a month now,and I wanted to get into machining, but I don't want
to buy a lathe, could I use my dremel to make sabers?

ummm, you could use you dremel but you couldnt do machining with it. its machining because you use machines and dremels just arnt big or powerful enough to do that kind of work. but you can do things like carve up the hardware to make it look diffrent.

I wouldn't be using a cheap little wal-mart dremel, I mean a air compressed dremel

same deal. still not gonna give you the lathed look. you could do it with an air grinder. but... its gonna take a long time and you still wont be geting an acuall machined look.

Well, I finally got the tubing for my machined saber. At this point it is chucked up in my lathe. Since I work weekends, and Im off through the week, It will be monday before I can do anything else with it. I've already turned the top portion, looks great so far. I will post progress pics as soon as I can sneak over to my house and take some.

YAY! finished the outside. now i just need to find out how to get 2 9v batteries the inverter and the switch inside of it. hehe that will be fun, because both batteries wont fit on either side of the switch. off to radioshack for some battery tabs now.
