Have you talked to the HR person the guy complained to?

 

I don't mind if someone can turn what would be a disadvantage into an advantage... but actually lying about how a phone conversation went, sullying my name in the process, makes me damn furious. I'm not a happy person right now.

The only good thing about it is that we aren't obliged to give the SOB the job.

And you should definitly not hire him...if his work is inferior. Cause you already know he's not below making stuff up to give him an edge. He's probably likely to threaten a law suit if he doesn't get the job.

 

I'd be too Sam. Disability... same with colour. I've seen someone black complain that they've been discriminated in a job interview here, when it was quite obvious all the other (white) candidates were far better qualified and suited. That's the sort of thing that annoys the feck out of me...

 

We've had race discrimination happen in this dept.

The asian lady was blatantly abusing the system and was sacked then she said she was unfairly dismissed.

 

I suppose the good thing is that we've had so many other applicants with disabilities and from ethnic minorities and a couple of them are quite good. We interview them and not Mr Bloody ****stirrer and get out of the loop that way.

And it does suck. Majorly. I was physically ill the other day just worrying about this crap.

 

Oh geez, Sam, don't let it get to you that much. If the guy sues, it'll be the company not you.

And apparently I've gotten my foot lodged in my mouth again. So sorry to the person who may have been offended by a comment I made here earlier.
