Now I have noticed that MSNBC is notoriously for having bad grammar. I suspect an issue with the spell check software and their lack of caring. Here is a prime example. http://www.nbcnews.com/video/nightly-news/54035565/#54035565 Employers leaving the work force. I doubt it. Someone needs to pay attention. Fox news doesn't seem to have the same problem. Any other examples you have seen from major websites with bad spelling errors.
I can't believe I did that. Good catch. Its one thing for a user to make a slight mistake but its another for a major news organization to do. I mean really our forum is staffed by unpaid moderators who still take the time to use correct grammar when giving us rules and such.
Wasn't Kim Kardasian incorrectly identified as one of the Boston Bombers at one point by CNN during the manhunt from them back in April? Anyway, I have closed captioning enabled from time to time on my TV and one night, ESPN was showing some baseball players tumbling down a baseball field embankment (I forget which team. Wanna say the Angels, but I'm not sure, it was a couple of years back), and one announcer was saying "these players are on a roll" as they tumbled. The closed captioning said "These players are on a role." I didn't know they were auditioning for anything in the first place.
Do they also use adverbs in the place of adjectives? EDIT -- Looks like Harpuah already got that one. Guess that's the downside of the 'ignore' button.
