This year there is a dinner after the regular hours and then an adult event after that; both are new this year. So, when you say all day, does that mean you are there for all three events? Or when you say same as last year do you mean only for the 10-4 event?

I'll let you know our definite availability after this weekends trip.

This is a wonderful and fun event!! It allows us to talk about the HOW, and not just the character. If you haven't signed up yet, it's an event not to be missed.

Doug has informed me that the dinner after the 10-4 event is compliments of the museum for makers and is intended as a show of thanks for participation as well as supporting networking and camaraderie. Due to lack of community response, they are canceling the adult event that evening.

So at this point I need to know how many makers will be staying for dinner after the faire. Please post here ASAP. Thanks

To be considered an R2 builder, wouldn't it stand to reason that you had built your Astromech and not purchased it? [face_whistling]

    It looks like we have:
    Anna
    Bill Reynolds
    Dave Barone
    Bobbi Whalen
    Steve Lukasik
    Gil
    Karen
    Sean and R2
    Dave Barcewicz
    Janice
    Larry and B9.

Can not load in Friday eve as last year.
Gil has offered to help load in B9. Do we have a volunteer to inhabit?
I will be bringing a monitor with selected videos.
Since we are on the 4th floor this year, we may want to dispatch a costumed character to roam the entrance hall and let people know that STAR WARS makers are upstairs.

This is definitely a Star Wars fan group! I was just thinking about your comment and how different it would sound in a different setting. Albeit funny, it might be a bit odd if I went to my boss and asked him "Should I bring in the Death Star panels?"

Bobby, this would be a fantastic venue to display and discuss your panels.

Great event! Not only is the set ready for filming thanks to the months of dedicated effort by Steven Lukasik, Dave Barkewitz, Bobby Whalen, and myself but also with help from Dan Reynolds and Kevin Robinson, but it also looks great! So realistic there was an attempted hijacking by a light-headed Mandalorian!

Kids and adults were excited to see as well as take pictures in the set. Gil and Karen Caligiuri brought authenticity to the set with their dashing portrayals of Alliance pilots. Steve Lukasik and I brought multiple costumes to help drum up excitement and direct people to the fourth floor as well as to invite them to purchase tickets for Star Wars Night. Dave Barkewitz made last minute set tweaks as well as helping in moving the set from the workshop to the fourth floor. Bobby and Kevin, helped with moving and, as well as Dave Barone, were on hand with samples of their craftsmanship to discuss Star Wars and sci fi influenced making of stuff. And presenters, Janice and Larry, worked throughout the event to inform museum goers about the North Ridge!

Great work everyone! Thank you for your support of this event!

Thanks again Bill, for helping to foster the relationship between the Northridge and the Buffalo Museum of Science! I felt so lucky to be able to chat with people about our replica props, the Northridge, and Star Wars Night!
