What’s the Most Popular Star Wars Episode in Your State?

I saw this on Twitter. Now granted, there are some polls out there in the world I'd take with a grain of salt, but I thought this was interesting. It looked at the Google traffic on each state and mentions what the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places are.

The PT has some good numbers, but the writer on the article didn't think much of that.

Anyway, ANH got the most 1st places with 19 states. Curiously Empire only has 1 state with a first place. Return of the Jedi faired pretty well with 11 states (if I counted right). And Rogue One has 2 states with 1st place.

Anyway, on the PT, if I counted right:

Revenge of the Sith:

1st place: 6 states​

2nd place: 9 states​

3rd place: 6 states​

Attack of the Clones:

1st place: 1 state​

2nd place: 4 states​

3rd place: 7 states​

The Phantom Menace:

1st place: 3 states​

2nd place: 8 states​

3rd place: 4 states​

I'd do the rest of the states but I'm too tired.

 

This somehow confirms my feeling that Episode III music is most striking and emotional one among all the other Star Wars movies.

 

Is not exctly pro-prequel article, but as people continue to make these videos, is obvious they have interest in PT.

More expansive scope? What the hell did that guy watch!? Surely not The Empire Strikes Back.

 

I got excited by this article posting on here, until I saw he didn't even watch TPM because of a combination of sticking to the machete order, his colleagues telling him not to, and even himself apparently convinced it must be bad even though he never saw it.

 

Yeah, I command him for voicing a prequel as his favourite movie, but other than that it's mostly a very bizarre article. I mean, as L110 said, TESB with a more expansive scope than ROTS? What the? And the TPM bit is just ridiculous.

Not really an article, but since Ray Park was cast as Darth Maul partially due to his Wushu skills, I though it might be fun to see footage professional Wushu practitioners.

Yeah, this is not at all to make a value judgment on one film over the other, but ROTS's scope is just clearly, objectively more expansive. What a bizarre thing to say.

 

Not an article but WatchMojo made a video called "Top 10 Reasons Why the Star Wars Prequels Suck" and the video has 2k likes and 4k dislikes. The comments are mostly filled with pro-prequel defending and love.

 

Very surprising.....but also kind of neat. While the PT will NEVER be held in as high a regard as the OT in the public eye, it seems that the narrative that has seemed to be taken as fact for so long----- "everyone" hates the PT------will kind of fade away over time.

 

It's a slow process but with each day it becomes more apparant that Prequel hate finally isn't "cool" anymore. For someone who joined Star Wars at a time when Prequel hate was at its peak, this is great to see and truly a "New Hope" for the franchise.

Let's see when the (geek) media finally gets it. Another two years?

 

Update, its now at 6000, almost 7000 thousands dislikes

 

I just watched the video, but I've no idea what they were talking about cause I was too busy reading the awesome comments. And now it's got 7k dislikes, including mine.

 

prequel apologists ballot stuffing.....

 

The video still is 2k likes but now had 10k dislikes.

That green bar has me saying, "I've been waiting a looong time for this moment, my little green friend."
